i have got one of these as a secondry fermenter and i have added a short peice of syphoning hose to the end of the racking arm just to extend it a tadge and waste will be down to a minimum good imformative video and lid gasket fitting is now simple thanks.

Cheers for the comments i do find the new racking arm they have to be a bit longer good idea with hose but sometimes i find it does a great job of eliminating the trub in my beers and i can rack straight from primary.

Wow you got one they are hard to get, always back ordered, nice job! Ok i think you missed a couple of great points on your fermenter's cool factor. One when you turn the dip tube to a 45 degree down angle you put the dip tube in the middle of the yeast cake, for a pure yeast cropping. Secondly if you put the dip tube to the 90 down position you can purge off the yeast cake to allow for a clean secondary fermentation without yeast lysis or having to rack over to secondary, cool huh?

Top review. With regard to cleaning, in the UK TSP is known as Sugar Soap - you can get it from Screwfix etc for about £1.50. Impressive work with the gasket also. I've just got myself one of the SS conicals and can confirm that fitting that thing is an absolute ****** ******!!

whats up brother? Great video by the way. I have the ss brewtech mini 3.5 gallon brew bucket. I've been brewing 2.5 gallon batches, but i'm looking to upgrading to 5 gallons. With the 3.5 mini i have to top off to 3 gallons (because of the cone bottom) in order to get the 2.5 gallons. Is it the same concept for 5 gallons? Will i have to top out to 5 in a half gallons, in order to get 5 gallons?

Great review. I've seen this on Google and see you can buy them in NZ for around 150 pounds. There's also a local company developing one, which I'll keep an eye on. My heart says I need one now. Haha. My head says where are you going to put it to keep it cool in the summer. Maybe once I have a fridge organised, I'll try butter up Mrs Dino. In the meantime I'll be looking forward to seeing you use it. Cheers mate

Great review. I tend to do 25 liter batches. I'm a little concerned there wouldn't be enough space between the wort and the lid, and that the foam from fermentation would end up coming out of the airlock. What do you think? Would it be best to use on 23L batches?

  • @beerloverTV

+Rory Scarlett well they now make the attachment to fit the lid to have a blow off tube so you could go that route i use it with mine to be save the malt miller sells both that and the silicone hose that fits it.

Liked the vid, thanks. I've just picked up the ss 10gallon brew kettle. On the passivation side of things did you use starsan or the nbs no rinse cleaner as that's what i have bottle of. I know it's similar, just wondering if it would do the same job?

I don't understand. This unit acts as a primary, secondary fermenter and racking bucket all in one?

  • @beerloverTV

+Randall Schoverling You could but i dont tend to secondary anyway but thats another topic. You can bottle straight from the bucket but i still use a bottling bucket

As a newby I've recently encountered the difficulty of trying the one man siphon/bucket/bottle operation, it's not fun (I need a third hand). What's your reasoning for still using a bucket with this. I would have thought less oxygen exposure the better, therefore rack direct. Thanks for all the vids, find them very helpful.

Very much so the only thing i haved had to replace is the little o rings that go on the racking arm. What i love is if i let the beer settle well enough i can bottle direct from primary saving me trouble of getting my bottling bucket out.Plus the fact it will last a lifetime if looked after
