Agreed .. the general hypocrisy is beyond ridiculous and the double standards are disgraceful. They don’t acknowledge the even greater human rights issues in the lands they support or fear. ( not condoning any) IN FACT !! Why don’t UK media etc see their own GOVERNMENT is contravening Human Rights with their blatantly racist polity to send non white refugees to Rwanda I’ve got really sick of reading the holier than thou Guardian articles especially the German v Japan one. Interestingly enough the author turned off the btl comments section.

Simon is the goat I like how he understands that every country in the world is different and should be approached with a level of respect and decency. Football is a game played across the world in different nations and cultures. But the game we all love is still the same. I worked in Qatar and I can tell you the country's people were great they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. On my first day in the country I was deposited in a company house and I ran out of cigarettes, I had no local currency and when I went looking for a currency converter to buy some. A local who was washing his car politely informed me that they would all be closed as it was the Sabbath. He then presented me with £25 worth of local money to get my cigarettes, I don't think that gesture would happen in many places. And yes I paid him back 2 days later, and I've been off the smokes for 13 years..

Earned a fan Talksport. Thank god a channel has finally had the balls to say exactly what I've been saying and actually getting into heated arguments about, this whole time. Word for word what Simon said, is the way I think. Couldn't have communicated it better myself. The sheer arrogance of our countries leading agenda pushers and a lot of the citizens, is quickly sadly pushing me out of love with the country. I just do not agree with the way ideologies are being forced upon us and I'm not willing to sit back and keep my mouth shut. Qatar is a wonderful place to live, I've been assured this repeatedly by friends who've lived there for years. They work hard, have their beliefs, stuck by them and aren't so weak to be ruled over by the excruciating amount of bullsh*t narratives pushed by our leaders and media. I'm afraid, at 31 years old, my time in this country is close to coming to an end. The ideologies do not suit me anymore.
