Pt 8 Grinding off Knock Sensor Bungs - 5.0 Stroker 4.6 Teksid Engine Block

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I grind off the knock sensor bungs to make room for 2V intake or supercharger. The 2V does not use knock sensors and on the early 4V they are often turned off when tuning for a supercharger. The Teksid block did not have one of the coolant holes the iron blocks as well as the later WAP and NEMAK blocks. So, I also drill that hole just to make sure there are not cooling issues.

Do you need to drill the coolant hole if you are swapping in a teskid in a terminator?

No, you don't "need to" but I highly recommend it. I have built engines and did not drill the coolant hole and they did not have any issues. However, the engines I build now with a Teksid get the hole drilled. It might seem strange/difficult to drill into a block but it really is not that hard and it does not have to be exact center on the gasket. I feel like it doesn't hurt to drill it and any increase in cooling with these engines is good.
