@@johnnygregg1550 depends on where you source the motor & if you get a transmission with it. Also assuming the motor is good from a wrecker. I rather work with what I got than something unknown. The Coyote is more expensive to repair has 4 cams 4 valves per cylinder. Over 2k for just cams on a Coyote (no spring or labor) vs 700 for a 2v. Rather save the money swapping & building a Coyote to get a Vortech Supercharger on top of a built motor for cheaper

Nice.
Hello just wondering if i get stage 1 trickflow cams and do a pi swap on my 98 mustang gt will i need to custom tune to get her running at least for a week while i get money to tune her
Throw some E85 in, with that CR there has to be an extra 15-20whp?
About 12:1 compression, trickflow heads with cams, I believe it's got 340whp. It'll have a bit more with some bigger cams and an edelbrock intake. More so with a big bore/ stroker kit, but at that point you might as well go coyote. Very stout numbers sir.

I think trickflow heads are for all out racer's Andrew lavender proved with stock p.i. heads w/ valve springs and camshaft upgrade you can run hi 8s with turbo He has now went to trick flow heads but he has turned the car into a all-out race car Streetcar guys should leave these heads alone and spend the money elsewhere on power and building and building a forged short block

@@crownvictorialifestyle4421 I respectfully disagree, I think the 38cc TFS twist wedge heads are the best bang for the buck for naturally aspirated power the 96-04 2V Modular engine. Now if you are going forced induction it really doesn't matter because it comes down to how efficiently you want whatever cylinder head you choose to flow, but this overall gives us the best shot against LS/Coyote world so I agree with you there.

I have a 22' GT and am looking at picking up a mint 96-98 in a year or two to build up. Way cheaper than new edge GTs because no one likes them due to the non-pi 4.6 - even though that problem is so easily rectifiable. And they're old, so out of the emissions timeframe for my state. Hence, I can cam the crap out of it & do pretty much whatever I want with the build 😆

I just did my P71 if you'd like to take a look at how my car sounds.. Oh, i forgot to add you need to degree the cams too.. Oh, n a higher stall torque converter.. Easily over $5k doing everything yourself.. If not, add labor n you got a $7-9k build..lol Just turbo it or supercharge it if you want to spend less..
