@@shorty5482 No, he did not handle it well. He was glib and evaded giving the full picture. It was not a debate or courtroom showdown. Pritam was under oath as the WP Chief before a discipline panel. He was glib in defiance. As the head, he showed he had things to hide and did not give a full account of the lack of prompt and decisive actions and directives. Have you served NS yet? Are you working in management position or Officer in armed forces?

@@agnusborealis9362 i read your statement with some confusion....an individual MP has decided to lie on her own accord and also decided to throw the whole party under the bus.... are you now putting up a supposition that pritam put her up to it? or that he had some incentive for her to continue to lie? when you then suggest the notion that there is a coverup, you mean he actually told her to lie no matter what? how does that benefit the party or himself? if RK admitted earlier, and especially in conjunction with dropping the bombshell that she was sexual assault survivor, all she would likely get was admonishment or a fine. she did not need to end her career. unless you are suggesting that senior party leader(s) was somehow involved in the original lie, then this was her lie to own, her responsibility to take. i was personally taken aback by edwin's aggressiveness, so i went backwards and watched ALL 8 hours of pritam's hearing as well as ALL the other hearings of the other WP witnesses.... uncut and in its entirety. if you yourself have done so, you would notice the anomalies in pritam's hearing.... edwin was passive aggressive right from the start... graduated to being openly aggressive after that. pritam was put on high alert and shields were up immediately. edwin did not behave that way with any of the other witnesses. questions were asked with decency and answers were accepted and cross examined with professionalism. it was ok for edwin to hypothesize and demand answers, but pritam gets shut down. edwin insists on adopting a very rigid structure of response from pritam and supposedly "no interruption or talking over each other" but you will notice that edwin has no problem breaching his own rules and doing it to pritam. round and round the bush trying to snare pritam with very feeble word play antics or trying to trip him up with circuitous questioning. if edwin behaved more professionally, i think the hearing would only have lasted half as long, instead of 8+ hours. to make matters worse, the chair just kept his tongue and allowed this supposedly fact finding hearing degenerate into a parody of a trial and what looked suspiciously like a smear campaign. What travesty. this is a fact finding hearing to determine the culpability of the dumb cow, not a criminal trial of pritam. however, if you were to look at the behaviour in that hearing, edwin seemed to have a different agenda... seemed like he was trying to nail pritam with at least some blowback from the idiotic conduct and lie in parliament. Having said all that, Do I believe that pritam is 100% innocent? No. Is he trying extra hard to distance himself from the situation? Of course. if the issue did not come up the second time (effectively water under the bridge) and RK basically slid through that parliament sitting, would pritam have walked the higher road and insisted that RK go back to parliament and fess up voluntarily? i would say that that would be a very long stretch. In my view, WP is left wing leaning and when they discovered that RK was a sexual assault victim, I would imagine senior leadership were like fish out of water... Trying to be empathetic, supportive and understanding all at the same time.... Even after this dum dum of an MP had singlehandedly created this potential calamity for the whole party. It is very possible that pritam did not feel the need to clarify immediately because it is honestly not particularly heinous, so he thought that she could take some time to get mentally prepared before admitting publicly. if by some stroke of luck the issue never came up in Parliament again, I truly believe that he would have let the dead dogs lie. Pritam would never have forced RK to voluntarily let her lying poop hit the fan. it would not do any favours for the party reputation either. This lie does not actually amount to anything in the greater scheme of things, and nobody actually needed to die for it. RK should have just admitted when questioned the second time and very most got admonished for it. In her momentary left wing brain fart, she decided to double down instead. It is what it is...

ET started off quite polite and calm but you can see him getting increasingly confrontational as the drilling goes on. Tbh I know Pritam is good but I didn’t expect him to do THAT well under pressure. People of Marine Parade GRC this is the MP you have voted for? He dared call himself a lawyer while displaying such unprofessionalism and hypocrisy from the very start of the inquiry till the end. The defendant have every right to defend his case while on the other side, all I heard is the plaintiff who seemed to be in some kind of a witchhunt and constantly pressing his assumptions on to the former without even giving him the chance to explain himself. Disgusting.
