PREPARING TO PULL THE MOTOR | TOYOTA TACOMA TRUGGY BUILD
I am getting ready to pull the motor out of this 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I am building this truck, or whats going to be left of the original truck into a truggy.
Fully frame fabrication, new transfer case, one ton axles, 42' tires, 4 links front and rear. It's going to be intense and this is only the beginning!!!

I love the fact that Branden gets paid to hang out with his best friend. Yes, y’all work hard but it doesn’t feel like work when you get to do it with your bestie ❤

I watch Nomadic Movement as well as Trent and Allie, so I hope there isn't something like what happened to them when they were paying a friend on the land to work for them and it all went bad and friendships were lost.
Trent, here are just a few of my thoughts after reading all the comments. 1. My wife and I have binged watched all the T&A videos after first seeing you on Wild Wonderful Off Grid, we are retired, and we enjoy wholesome content for our entertainment, and we have a lot of time on our hands. 2. What a great blessing it is to have all the hard work you and Allie put into your KZread channel to make enough funds to be able to pay your way and also hire your best friend to help you build your dreams and have a blast doing it. By the way Brandon is awesome and you two work well together. 3. Lighting is just fine and no need to take a boatload of pictures, just play back you video's and reverse the process. 4. I don't mind you talking thru the projects, that's a big reason why your other channel is such a big success, the interaction between you and Allie. Now it's guy time, in a garage, you and Bradon can clown around all you want, longer videos would be just fine. It'll be great. 5. Last but not least, just keep doing what you're doing. Trent, look at all you've accomplished in 35 years of life, a beautiful family, traveled the world, built vans and a great home with your own hands, a new business to provide for your family, you're living the dream that most will never have the opportunity to live. Thank God for these blessings and I'd like to thank you and Allie for letting us be part of your life's journey.

Hey David, Welcome to the world of T&A. JSYK: Allie not only makes great videos she works her old office job remotely 😊 I’m a 70 yr old Retired Quantum Physicist who adores this family. My husband is a Retired Electrical Engineer and he loves how industrious Trent is!!! We’re hoping Allie starts making YT Shorts❤ Namaskar Dear Ones:)):)):))

Oh, this got me emotional because I share your sentiments. It's just amazing watching how hard Trent works, thinks outside the box, and is not afraid to fail. He corrects things when they go wrong. He has a beautiful wife, his partner, and a good friend (Brandon) working alongside him. He is a family man who loves his mom, his grandparents, his in-laws, and his sisters. There are not so many Trents out there, and my tears are with awe because of the impression he leaves on me. Has anyone noticed when his beautiful, kind-hearted wife complements him? He always says thank you. It may be a simple thing, but he'll always say thank you. 👏 I say thank you for visiting my house via your videos on both channels. God bless you abundantly. 🙏 Love from the United Kingdom ❤.

@@Trents.garage Trent, my son is 21 and if he accomplishes half of what you've done when he hits 35, I'll be one proud Papa. I'm proud of my son's accomplishments but you are taking it to a new level.
I bet Trent's Garage is a much nicer place to work now that Dean has been there to adjust the heater.

You’re so right!!!
It might not be a bad idea to strap your frame to the arms of your lift, It's a small effort to avoid the catastrophe of the entire truck falling off the left

Yes I saw that happen in another video... not their video but just saw it last week
Another awesome step forward, lighting was better Trent. You are making amazing progress already!

Wow! Awesome progress!!! It’s cool watching you make so much progress. Been a Trent and Allie fan since before the pandemic and always happy to support what you two (and Brandon do). Thanks for putting out great content and opening up your lives to us. 👍 💜 Oh, and the lighting is definitely better!
So glad Brandon was there to film. He did an awesome job! I am guessing this was when Allie took a well-deserved day off to go skiing with her friends. The lighting was perfect. And by the way, it is amazing to me that you even know where to start with all this. Kudos to you for being so skilled and having the drive to tackle such a big project like removing an engine!
I think my favorite part of this channel is that it's not some super shop with half a million in tools. No CNC machines and benders, notchers, shears, all hydraulic. And I know it really is your house and garage. Actually, my favorite part is that you have to move stuff out of the way to work. Just like 99% of the rest of us trying to fab.

Hopefully I’ll have a half million in tools one day haha!!! I am addicted to buying new tools 🙃
Trent, I admire what you do, it looks so complicated yet you go ahead and do it. Protecting your hands was a good idea. Best wishes from Mike.
Your the “miracle motor man “🚗Trent the MAN💯my daughter and I race Miatas in California love Japanese automotive engineering !
I have never watched videos like this before but I am actually enjoying it.
Lighting is great, very even with few shadows. I’ve learned a lot about cars by watching this series
I have no idea what you’re talking about but your charming enthusiasm is infectious. I just know I label all my electronic wires with tape so I know what they are when I have to take things apart.
Great job filming Brandon. 👍🎥 What a great friend to have him. This frees up Allie! The lighting is perfect!
It just blows my mind Trent that you can do everything. My hubby who I love deeply, can't even change a light blub. 🤣🤣
Great job Brandon on the filming AND showing more of your personality! I love that you are slooooowly warming up to commenting and being on video. I think at some point you will feel really comfortable with it all and finally let it all hang out and at that point, I think you will surprise yourself with how well everyone responds and how great it makes you feel! Great episode Trent and I Love what you are doing with your truggy project and leading it more about you and Brandon and your friendship while still having Ally involved. We are SO here for it!
The lighting looks good to me. I've been working on cars for over 20 years now and most of the manufacturers have main connectors for disconnecting the engine harness from the body so you don't have to unhook each individual wire from the engine. It saves a lot of time and headaches. Its kinda nice watching someone else do this kind of work for a change. Keep up the good work.
Definitely tie the frame to the lift. Measure for clearance / protection for oil pan transfer case, tranny before you cut off clip. Plan to possibly cut out floor pan for transfer case, driveshaft? Rack or steering box? Layout the new chassis and all the pick up points with motor pulled. Tack all of the new chassis together and move suspension up and down (w/out coil overs) check all clearance with wheels turned right and left etc) in the event that you need to make structural adjustments with new tube frame. Fox coil overs have a ton of travel as you guys know. You guys are awesome, I’m enjoying every upload. Oh, and the lighting is better. Looks like a blast!
Trent, I like the running commentary. Knowing what's running through your mind adds to the video. As far as lighting, the general lighting is great. Whenever you are underneath the truck or working "Under the hood" you need supplemental lighting, either small pods or head lamps. Most camera's will attempt to adjust for lighting but if there are dark areas, below bright areas, they can't adjust for both at the same time.
SUGGESTION: I don’t know if you can do it, BUT before dismantle anything, TAKE A PICTURE of what you’re working on. Then later on you can see where things were to help you rebuild. I do it sometimes. Maybe it would help you? Good 👍 Luck on everything!!! Love watching your videos.

The whole time Trent is worrying about how he will remember how to put stuff back together - I’m thinking … just watch the video and see what you did there. Hopefully Ali is saving all this footage securely so that it won’t be recorded over.😂
That was fun, time for a beer!
Just listen to that finely tuned heater working in the background. Lighting looks great!
Lighting looks fine to me 👍
You and Allie are an awesome team. You are so lucky to have Brandon and the Mountain Made team. They’re all awesome.
Trent this is a great start. I think this channel is going to take off
The lighting seemed fine to me. It looks like you and Brandon are having more fun with mechanics than house building. Glad you're taking time to do a fun project!
It looks brighter to me. I like this vlog as much as the other. I'm not a mechanic, but I love to watch.
So glad Brandon is there with you!!
Hey Trent, I did this same job for a friend, to a point. I was repairing the rusted frame on an 05 Taco. I managed to have it stripped down to the frame and axles in about 8-10 hours. I found out that it wasn't necessary to remove the fenders. I lifted the bed, then lifted the cab and front end as one unit. That made lifting the engine, transmission and transfer case as one. Took a little longer to put it all back together.
Hey Trent, I just wanted to give you a tip about removing the engine. Then I remembered I don't know anything about repairing vehicles. Still enjoy the new content tho : ) Frank is my favorite KZread dog. Glad you have efficient heat in the garage now. Sure it'll be much more comfortable in there for him
Oh Boy! A lot of work accomplished. Lighting is very good.
I consider myself a pretty handy guy Trent, But you put me to shame. Seems like you can do a little bit of everything!! Great job!!
Therapy of the mind , dismantling the truggy like the way you are doing Trent. You and Branden make a fine team in all that you do whether it's construction or automotive related.
I am enjoying this truck build, or demo first. I am glad Brandon is helping you out. Great stuff ! Thank you !
Lighting is good, and I’m looking forward to see this project progressing.
Yes, the lighting is much better in this episode. Thank you for explaining the parts and how they work on the car/truck.
My hubby loves this channel! I like Trent and Allie better, but at least this makes him happy. He used to build jeeps and quarter mile cars. Good luck Trent! we love you guys!
The lighting is great Trent, yeah we’re here watching.
Take the Truggy to Baja when you get it finished. Would be so cool. Lighting is Great, especially if youve ever watched any auto/truck rebuild/repair videos. Where is the Trent's Garage and Recovery Merch? You need a hat with stars and stripes.
I am retired and in mid seventies, growing older, while back my wife introduced me to your Trent & Ally channel and enjoy it much. Not going to introduce her to Garage channel as I know it will not be for her. I like stuff being pulled apart and rebuilt. I also like Branden because he waits in the background and then when he see's the opportunity he helps where most needed. BTW if I was young, handsome, rich and humorous ... I would of invited Ally on a van trip before you.
The light looks fine 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yep lighting is sufficient enough for me. Great video again bud.
Lighting A+
I'm already anxious to see the final product! Good luck Trent!
To offense to T&A, but Trent’s Garage is the highlight of my week. Solid wrenching time.

lighting is better, works well. for safety, before pulling engine you may want to place a few rachet straps/ straps from frame to lift arms for a little support/ counter balance. great video and the project is coming along. remember building this truggy is for enjoyment not a job that must be done in a short time period. if it becomes a chore step back and give it some time. then the enjoyment desire will come back and have fun building the project. remember it is the experience and enjoyment you receive building the project for the fun it will provide. take your time and be safe

You're doing a great job! Keep having fun...
Trent, One step at a time. Keep them coming. God Bless
nice to see such a huge smile on your face !
When you take something apart off your truck take a picture of it on your phone and you can always refer back to it if you need to that way you won't forget where things go. Just a suggestion !!
Love build videos and your ideas for this monster truggy seem like they're gonna be pretty awesome. Can't wait to see it when it's done.
Trent is nice and braid in there in the garage now Brandon is a bad ass
The lighting is excellent.
Good job on pulling. Best decision. 👍
Lighting is much better. Bag and tag thing in groups, label connections, tape up intake runners with rags in them. Great progress today.
🛻Aww, another great video and you are definitely right about don’t get angry don’t get frustrated enjoy your time this is your fun project. Your family has protection with the beautiful house that you feel they have food to eat they have love. Now give yourself some time to love on something you like. Enjoy your time with Brandon and enjoy all the viewers and all of their participation which will homely help your truck Be even better. Who knew I would be watching Trents Garage lol
Great job Trent! Yes, the lighting is much better.👍🏻
Lighting is better 👍. I am truly impressed with your problem solving abilities. I look forward to seeing your Tacoma out and about handling the rough trails. It abounds weird but I know I will share in your sense of pride and joy even though I’ve not lifted a tool to help. I remember your video when you began to talk about your plans to buy the truck and turn what was crashed and totaled into something even better. Soooooo…… soooooo….. cool.
Another great Video..is getting better and better. Thanks for share Trent 🙌❤️
The lighting is much, much better.
Looks Great. Cant wait to see more...
It is the first for everything for Trent's garage and hopefully you label everything.
Hey trent All the wiring and hoses have been in place a long time.. the heat cycles have heat formed it all that position. So going back together will be easyer than you think. I've been doing this for 45 years.. You got this.. have fun.

You two boys are amazing and you make things look easy but I know it isn't easy to do.. well done Trent and Brandon 💯
Lighting looks fine!
Lighting Good!
Lighting is much better, actually is great! Trent, I have no doubt you will get all the parts back together again. If Trent can’t do it, no one can! Lol
The lighting looks great!!🤗
Agree that the best direction is to pull the motor. Brandon is like the best friend ever, let me know if he’s got spare time for another friend I need help with my truck too! 😂 👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yes, the lighting is super good!!! Keep going !!!♥️
Awesome job guys Enjoy much love and blessings
You make it look so easy.
You can do it Trent!
Nice job guys!
Lighting is much improved and I can see what you are doing!! Great job.
Fantastic job Trent. Your door trick was very smooth. 😂LOLLOLLOL😂
Lighting is tonnes better with the new setup. Keep up the great work Trent, lovin it!
the lighting is MUCH better :) God bless you for doing all that .... whew ! I agree with the person who just said ... take a pic of everything before you take it apart so you can put it back in the same order ... good luck !
Yes the lighting is good
Great job
Lighting looks great, and nice job with the camera work Brandon.
Trent when you start getting worked up and stressed working on the truck just stop, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and just look at it. 😁 Lighting is better for the most part, still darker when by the driver side of the truck.

Lighting look's good.
Lighting was great.
Trent, the lighting is great, I can see what y’all are doing.
The lighting is a lot better now. Enjoying the build.
I know squat diddly about cars…but for some reason watching one be dismantled is quite engaging 👍🏻
Great job Trent and Brandon! I like the lighting, it's alot brighter.
Lighting much better Trent! X's & O's for Allie and Leo and a high five for Brandon!
The lighting is wonderful. No more dark dungeon. When I worked on my car (or now my tractor) it's because I HAVE to, nothing I enjoy about busted knuckles, frozen nuts. Even just trying to change the oil filter on my tractor was a curse fest....So I'm pleased to watch you work on the truck without feeling any of that aggravation :) I continue to marvel that you know what everything is and have the courage to tear it all apart. Thank you for the video guys!
The lighting looks very good .
Action the lighting is great
The lighting is great Trent 👍
Lighting was good Trent could see everything. Frankentruck lol love it. 👍 ❤️
Lighting is much better. Love the show even tho I am not a mechanic. Learning a lot tho!!
Light is great, enjoy ever video
Very big and great change to lighting. Every bolt dismantle was very viewable. Great changes. I always wanted to go to auto shop. and now I'm in auto shop.
The lighting is a lot better you're doing an awesome job Thanks for the video
