Thanks for this, great work. Just one little detail. They never stopped drilling lug holes. The still use spring bars so the holes are needed. The holes are still drilled, they just fill in the outside so the holes are no longer visible on the exterior of the case.

I have a similar watch to that blue faced speedmaster. I have the mark 40 with a black face, was attracted to it over the moon watch for the smaller size, automatic movement and has the most complications.

Errata: 1:29 The 5513 was produced from 1962 until 1989. (It was the 5512 that was made between 1958 until 1978.) 7:33 There's a Valjoux movement in that Daytona, not a Zenith. 20:32 That's a Sea Dweller, not a Date Submariner.

11:24 That all gold Day Date with diamond dial!!! 😍😍😍 #GrailWatch. You didn't focus on it but I think I saw another Day Date earlier in the video (Hanging flat on the display wall/board) for Y1,398,000. It looked like that was baton indices and the less expensive vintage Day Date.

That Omega Speedmaster Bluedial was definitely an Impulse buy, they usually sell between 2k and 3k. I would assume no box or papers due to the cheap price.

I watch alot of ⌚videos. Your video's are interesting because of the ever changing format. Dynamic style reviews, always changing👍👍👍. Keep up the great work and I love these shows. Aww man, you shoulda tried on the Speedy Triple Date. Would’ve liked to hear your opinions about the fit. Cool that you tried on the Seamaster GMT. The Great White version would definitely be my pick, but the black dial version was one of the first watches I noticed and was infatuated with as a kid. One of my Sunday school teachers had one, and I could never stop staring at it during class, haha. When it comes to the Rolexes, dude, I like the purple Bluesies! So few actual purple watches out there for men, and you know how much I like the color. The Root Beer was pretty expensive, but a stunner nonetheless.

7:35 is a Valjoux 72 Daytona (manual)...not a Zenith, FYI. (Side note: it also has the early non knurled push piece screws, which may jack up the price significantly as well)

I was lucky and collected two GMT Master II with stick dials, one Pepsi and one all black, D serial and Z serial, but they both have 3185 movement.

Always want one but hesitate to get one. It will sure will make me happy but it will not make me any important and even might end in a bad situation wearing it. Maybe a Timex Navi XL will do a justice

@@watchsymposium Yeah, they all bought high and no one wants to loose money. The Batgirl is already under 13k in the US (at Watchbox which is typically expensive) and pre ceramics are on sale around or slightly under 10k. I think prices are unrealistic as is anyway, and didn't love having to hunt and beg to get my last watch (sub) at list, so I will welcome watch prices coming back to earth.....maybe I can start dreaming about adding a pre-ceramic Coke to the collection!

The 126710blro pepsi, earlier one 2018 vs 2019 diff bezel diff price was likely possibly cos of the year of the watch. 1 yr diff of warranty for watches probably was the difference in price , IMO of course. I like the older mk 1s , its closer to the 116719 wg blro

That one year difference is certainly a factor. I had a conversation with the gentleman behind the counter, though, and he was aware of the color difference between the two, and indicated there's more desire here for the Mark 2/3. Of course, that might change in 10 years time, when the Mark 1's become harder to find!

Austin are there any bargains to be add ?

Chinese factories opening and Swiss factories on lockdown. I’d be worried a surge in the secondary market could be a Bonanza for the super replica industry (made in China). The older stuff may be safer (fakes were not as good in the old day) than the recent models.

Those watches are intended for the Yakusa Member buyers but maybe because of the economic uncertainty experienced by Japanese People the Market activities are pretty slow now a days. but during the 80s to The early 90s I can guarantee you Man those watches will be sold like a hot cake.

If the hands match the patina on the lume plots (on the dial), I tend to assume they are original. But you know what they say about making assumptions; non-original hands can be colored to match the patina on the plots.

Original 120 degree (aka Mercedes) hour hands are also more curved than late tritium and luminova replacements too.

@@paulthorpe766 i have a GMT Master bought from an AD in 1997 with tritium markers, only this week I noticed that the hour hand is curved. After you mentioned this, now I realized it is not a defect.

You do know that the 3186 movement has some technical issues, right?

I'd be going for a Sea Dweller 16600, or a 2 line 14060M, or I'd consider throwing in a bit more for a GMT 16710 or 16700. I'd look for a non-polished, box and papers, piece in the best condition you can find within that price range.
