Valerie Blake no problem there are a lot of good choices. It just depends what features you want and where you plan to kayak.

Thanks for all your videos about your Rambler Jerry! I just got a used Perception Rhumba 13.5, which is exactly like a Rambler and I just completed my take of your "Tryak Kollie" lol! I'm currently adding a 6" hatch to the front bulkhead and dealing with the uneven surface. Going to be doing a unique rod holder/troller soon. Mahalo from Hawaii!

okgo44 you are welcome, I wish I would have caught some fish today as well but the water was calm and flat and there was no boat traffic, tight lines my freind. I will be watching for your videos too!

okgo44 I am going to copy how you made that small seat to go over that center seating position, I had tried to do that with a beach chair and without pontoons that just doesn't work well. too unstable.

When you used the kayak solo and sat in the center seat, did you move the cushioned seat and backing to the center or did you just sit on the bare plastic seat?

I moved the rear seating stuff to the center, I have found that if you elevate the level of your hindparts it becomes much more comfortable. This kayak is long and open enough that you can stretch out and take a nap in.

Jason Power I got them at Wal-Mart. that's the only place I have ever seen them. I think they are made by a company called Attwood. I wish I would have placed them lower down the side instead of on the top.

What size pvc did you use for the trolley you have to put in the scupper holes

  • @jerryehrlichoutdoors1277

Joey Markland I used schedule 40 3/4 inch pipe, I also reinforced the uprights that go through the scupper holes by driving a dowel rod into the pic pipe.

I believe they were scotty, and I got them at Dicks sporting goods. They usually come in black or white, sometimes chrome. You can also get them with covers. Sometimes they are open at the bottom, avoid those.

Jerry Ehrlich I just used my yak today for the first time and I noticed a lot of water in the hull, the boat is stock, there are 3 clear plastic plugs that look like they have a huge Allen head to open... have u experienced any water in the hull? And do u know what those plugs are for thanks for the quick reply

  • @jerryehrlichoutdoors1277

Ryan Harmening I used rivets to attach the recessed rod holders and I have used them in a couple of other spots but the majority of everything used Philip's head stainless steel screws.

Ryan Harmening the big white plugs in front of the seats, I think I got your question now. I believe those are made to cover the holes created in the rotomolding process. I believe their only purpose is to seal the hull. I have never expierienced a huge amount of water in the hull while out on the water with mine. my first question is, is your drain plug screwed in tight? my second queastion is have you made any of your own modifications to your boat. I always use a marine grade silicone even on screws.
