We love to kayak tandems. You get to connect better with the person you're with. We have 2 tandems so we can get out with our 2 young boys, and they absolutely love it!

Love your video. My wife and I just bought a Tandem Kayak. We plan to do a lot of relaxing and fishing.

I meet a person Mark Ervin from Norway who is about to complete the greater loop. He paddled most of it, but some sections where too dangerous in his opinion. Being eaten by gators 🐊 was one of his greatest fears. He has a channel, by his name. He started in Nova Scotia, he’s somewhere around that island, at my posting this 7/22/23.

This is why I kayak. Let me tell you a story. I always wanted to go kayaking but I’m cheap and didn’t want to waste my money. My beautiful wife got me a cheap kayak just about the cheapest one you can get. I have always been a outdoors man (hunting fishing hiking Easter ) when the very first time I’ve gone I say a doll deer bring here fan done to the lake for water. I was hooked. 2 kayaks later 5 years latte with thousand of miles behind me I have a KZread channel of my own and go every chance I can get. Thank you for sharing this video!

If you love kayaking just spend some money trust me if you get a nice boat that slides easy you will feel the difference from a cheap to expensive boat.

I think double kayakl keeps the momentum going and once up to speed doent take much extra energy to keep it going compated to a single. Palos Verde to Catalina in Necky 2-man kayak. 3 times!!

I do all the paddling when my wife goes with me. How’d you convince her to paddle?

in the bow, that way the more experienced paddler can better control

Stay tuned for a video with Tandem Paddling Tips... but to answer your question, the newbie should be in the front because you can't really steer from the front. The front person is basically a motor... for that reason, if the person in the front stops paddling, the person in the back can continue to paddle and control the kayak. It doesn't work the other way around.
