  Did this rudder system work? I have a similar kayak and want to retro fit a rudder without making any modifications and something like this seems like a great option if it actually works

  I took my Vapor 10.on it's maiden voyage today. I caught 2 fish. I learned a lot of what I need and don't need, as I'm new to Kayaking. I will say, the rear hatch I's completely useless for me. I can't reach it from my seat. It felt like it was going to flip over, until I learned how to set in it. It was good experience, I'll stick to lakes for now.

  Hey Jerry, love my Pelican HDII Fin drive. She's my 1st and last kayak. I see no reason to upgrade. Been bank fishing since I was a kid. When I started saving, and researched the kayak I wanted, shortly covid began, and local and online sold out, of every boat I wanted. My local dicks sporting goods, had a seaghost 110, and the pelican, one of each, in stock. With the fin drive, rudder, and open deck, I said I'll take it. Now after my 1st season off the bank, I have my just recieved my Bixpy J2, motor, with the rudder mount. I installed my 12v Cabela's battery, electrical battery box, with my USB/VM/12V accessory panel, to run and charge, all my electrical accessories. Cell, go-pro, FF, ETC. I fish large lakes and resevoirs. Next summer, it's tournament time. But I cant believe a $1,300 dollar kayak, turns into a 4-5k dollar kayak. But I love being on the water all day, on my adventures, just you and your one man boat you've built, fishing where no-one can get to you, except for other kayaks. Be safe.🤟🎣🙏🙏

  When you used the kayak solo and sat in the center seat, did you move the cushioned seat and backing to the center or did you just sit on the bare plastic seat?

  I moved the rear seating stuff to the center, I have found that if you elevate the level of your hindparts it becomes much more comfortable. This kayak is long and open enough that you can stretch out and take a nap in.

  I believe they were scotty, and I got them at Dicks sporting goods. They usually come in black or white, sometimes chrome. You can also get them with covers. Sometimes they are open at the bottom, avoid those.

  This dash is for a wilderness sytems kayak and the old town has plastic where it needs to fit. You have to cut it to atttach it.

  I think it is because it is limited to 9.5 ft long hammocks…not sure if it fabric length or functional length. not comfortable for folks who like >10 ft fabric long hammocks 🤷🏼‍♂️

  I'm deciding if I should get the 110 or hobiepassport 10.5 ? Because I have heard problems with the pedal drive with this pelican.

  I have done about 16 miles with no issues with the pedal drive. But it is a slow kayak made for still water. It does not do well against a current.

  My buddy (retired Army) always says he wishes he had known about alcohol stoves every time he fires it up. If you aren't ready for It, that first bite into a Vienna hot dog is a shocker, lol.

  They are ok. My wife is fine with the stock harmony seats but I didnt care for them and upgraded mine. I didnt get enough suport from the stock ones.

  I’ve got a HD130 it rides great in the back of my 1500 HD Chevy. Great kayak I love it, although the pedal system has broken twice, called Pelican and they sent me a brand new drive and the parts to fix old drive twice. I would buy it all over again, it’s a fishing machine.

  They are a spork that seperates at mid handle to have a small serated knife. With the kabar name I expected better but the item is junk.

  Thanks Lynn, I burnt the rice a little and used to much taco sauce. It should have been 2 thirds cup of rice, one cup of water and and a half cup of taco sauce. I didnt use quick cooking rice either.
