I can’t be the only one who misread that, thinking Peacock is paying subscribers.. 😂

It shows how fast the Premier League is growing in the USA, because the NFL has not caused this because the NFL is available on other streaming platforms and they have not had similar subscription growth. The Premier League is the only thing exclusive to the Peacock and it is the most watched sports league globally with 5 times the global viewership of the super-bowl just for regular season games worldwide and is the only sports league on American TV growing their TV viewing numbers.

Wrestlemania had 1.3 billion views. Only second to that NFL playoff game on peacock. WWE is in another boom period. People forget to mention that in discussions

I love Peacock. I've been in from the beginning, largely because I'm a fan of the Premier League. But they've added a lot of other live sports (including the Olympics, Big Ten sports, etc.), the Universal movies such as Oppenheimer and The Holdovers, and they've really had some pretty good original content (Poker Face is brilliant). And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like Netflix.

It is because of the Premier League, the English soccer league, which is also the most watched sports league in the world globally.. A team like Manchester United or Liverpool average 450 million viewers worldwide globally per game, which is well over the 4 times what the superbowl gets globally. And when Manchester United plays Liverpool it goes up to 700 million global viewers. It is the fastest growing sport league on American TV and Peacock has it exclusively on their platform. It is becoming massively popular in the USA, thanks to shows like Ted Lasso and Welcome to Wrexham and the Premier League is more appealing to Americans because it is the fastest and most athletic and entertaining soccer league with less flopping than the other soccer leagues. For 20 years the most watched soccer league on American TV was the Mexican soccer league because the American has the biggest Mexican population outside of Mexico and they love their own soccer, but in the last 3 years the Premier League has become so popular with all communities it has overtaken the Mexican soccer league for viewers. The rapid popularity of the Premier League in the USA has led to more subscribers. But the contract for US TV rights for Premier League are due next year, and the rumours are Disney/ESPN, Netflix, Apple TV, Fox and CBS/Paramount Plus are going to bid massively for the Premier League TV rights as it is the fast growing sports league on American TV and Peacock could lose the rights.

I like Peacock I mainly use it though to watch new episodes of Law and Order. I have watched some stuff on there but not all and I still got stuff on my list to watch. My go to these days is Max and Disney+ and occasionally Netflix.

Sure 55% sounds cool, but then you realize with 1.1 Billion revenue, they still lost $640 million. last Q1 it was $704M . Its dead service.

It is the Premier League, not the NFL. Other streaming platforms have access to NFL games and not experiencing the same level growth. The Premier League is exclusive to Peacock and is the only sports league that is growing in viewership on American TV. It has overtaken taken the Mexican League as the soccer league with the most viewers on American TV and is the most watched sports in the world with global viewership that is 4 times bigger than the super-bowl.

@@pooby887yes it because Amazon and other streaming services have access to show NFL games and they do not have that level of subscription growth. The Premier League is exclusive to Peacock in the USA and is the only sports league growing viewership in US TV, while ratings for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB have been declining for the last 10 years. The Premier League is by far the most watched sports league worldwide, way above the NBA and NFL where games between Liverpool and Manchester United can reach 700 million global viewers for regular season games, that is 7 times more than super-bowl gets worldwide. Here is how you know it is true because the US Premier League TV rights are set to quadruple in value because there is going to be a bidding war for the rights with Peacock, Disney plus/ESPN, CBS/Paramount Plus, Fox, Netflix,Amazon and Apple TV all going into a bidding war to obtain the USA rights for the Premier League.
