My late wife used to dress as an Orion for various conventions around the country and Star Trek movies (you can see her in Trekkies II right before the concert scene, on the sidewalk, in the first iteration of her costume). I had a TOS Klingon outfit and happily went along next to her. Next week is the anniversary of her passing; she died last Easter Sunday, and so this interval is incredibly difficult; I actually couldn't watch the whole video. But you just lit up my heart a bit thinking about how much she loved her Vina inspired costume and would run around, just under five feet of happy, smiling green joy. Do not wait to tell those you love you love them in word and in action; Dr. Sarah Edwards had just turned 40 and died a few weeks after we discovered her cancer. The future is unknown, so love well today.

Same. Imo it's a really smartly done comedy with plenty of references but it doesn't overdo it usually. And if it does, it's in pursuit of a big joke or comedic moment. The episodic plots stand on their own but the humour lightens it up

I actually just started watching Lower Decks and it's better than I thought it would be. It makes light of a lot of serious elements of the entire series but in a way that isn't offensive in any way. They do a good job adhering to the existing lore of the series and seeing lower ranked individuals of Star Fleet engaging in their day to day is really interesting to me even if the show is obviously paced for comedy. Idk, I dig it and the voice acting and animation are both really good
