This would be our dream job, it would be too easy. We are in love with Ireland and her people, I feel more at home here than at home, haha, it is wonderful

My uncle (Fr. Michael Maher) was Parish Priest in Kilmoyley & Ardfert back in the late 70s - early 80s. We spent many happy summers there as kids and always had a few picnic days out on Banna Strand. I particularly remember helping the neighbours bail their hay and Mum tweezering the 'sciortáins' (hay beetles) off our skin after a long day out in the fields! :-)

The hospitality of the Irish people is amazing. I experienced that personally

You were standing on Banna Strand (the beach), that's where Roger Casement back in 1916 was captured, he had brought arms on a German boat called "the aud" to help the Irish men and women fighting in the Easter Rising, he ended up being tried for treason and hung in Pentonville Prison in London in August that year. It does take a while, I'm still learning the whole editing side so sure it takes much longer than it needs to. I actually quite enjoy searching for the music, I do it sometimes to avoid starting editing, haha

Fun fact: That “Éire 45” marking that you could see from the drone footage was indeed a marking made during WW2 to make German bomber pilots aware that they were flying over Ireland, which was a neutral country during the war, Éire means Ireland in Irish, there was many of these markings made across the southern Irish coast :)

Not quite. These signs were positioned at Lookout Posts (LOPs) of the wartime Coast Watching Service. There were 83 LOPs which stretched from Ballagan Head in Louth (no. 1) to Inishowen Head in Donegal. During the summer of 1942, after a large increase in belligerent aircraft landing after having lost their way, signs (generally made up of white washed stones) were built close to each LOP showing the word 'EIRE'. Shortly after they were built, a request was made by the Allies (Ireland was, ahem, neutral on the Allied side) to add numbers to each sign as an aid to navigation. When complete the full list was supplied to the Allies for reuse by aircrew. The Germans were not provided with the list.

Hello again from Canada. Awesome, brings back so many great memories. Been to many of those same spots. You have to spend at least 1 week cruising around Kerry for your next Video, there's so much Impressive scenery. Your videos are cool, you seem a lovely genuine couple and I'm glad you are enjoying the famous Irish hospitality! When in County Kerry visit Ventry bay beach on the Dingle Peninsula. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen!, when I was there in 2004. Yiz are doing a great job promoting Ireland! Rowan

Hi love watching the videos it was nice to see some of the places on the west coast we had a motorhome last July and kilrush was one of the places we just happened to stop in for a night great wee place and Simon the manager of the marina could not have been more helpful and nice I hope to return there again safe travels

I think we will be returning regularly, it is so incredible here

Ballybunion is our fav beach. We have the holiday cottage in Abbeyfeale and that's where we go. Great for bodyboarding. A nice lil cafe for coffee and a coconut macaroon.

yeah i feel we didn't get to experience Ballybunion properly. Would love to go back and hire boards. Will have to start planning out next Ireland trip before we even finish this one, haha
