Walking from Wales to Cornwall (with a backpack and a tent)
The highs and lows of backpacking Britain. We go from surviving to thriving this week as we begin to truly believe we will finish this mammoth journey. The end feels more in sight as we cross a big milestone - the Severn Bridge, from Wales into England. We manage to replace our broken tent following the storms last week and our spirits lift. We soak up this peaceful way of life; making the most of the small joys in our day like our safe haven in our tent and warm camping food. Thank you for watching and stay tuned for the final episode of the walk coming soon!

Well done Tom. Loved following you on this journey Tom. You deserve such credit for not giving up when you were tired and feeling down. Also well done to Izzy for joining you and sticking with the walk. Take care both and have a good rest.

We’ve loved following the journey with Tom, however it’s so lovely seeing you both back together for the last push. Really feel for you in the wet & cold, but what an epic adventure you’re having!
Nice work guys. the weather looks to be getting better. Well done.
Amazing walk, Tom, what an achievement you’ve done! Just the final push now, 14 more days, you can do it. And great to see you do the walk together, supporting eachother.
Absolutely amazing. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
I’d love to see how this epic trip ended, having followed you all the way. Hopefully you made it!? Congratulations anyway. An heroic effort.

Nice stuff!
Well done on surviving the attrocious weather...you are both on the final stretch, keep smiling and best wishes
The nice thing about doing a walk like that is not having a vehicle park somewhere for you to worry about, and you can find the most remote places to put your tent. Really enjoyed watching it. Thanks

What a achievement....nearly back in Kernow...the weathers been absolutely awful through October and November...Will be thinking of you both...make sure you top up on pasties when you get here.....Will be looking out for you if you pass through St Austell 😊......although the A30 or North Cornwall Coast rd, seems a better route 👍
Crazy how much you have conquered bro! Absolute champion in our eyes 💪 can't believe it's nearly over, feels so short, but also like an eternity since we were all together in Martha lol!

Nearly there keep up the great work
Hey, good to see you this neck of the woods Tom. I'm a bit disappointed though - you started at Llangurig and went through the beautiful upper Wye Valley and never mentioned the valley or river once - the Tamar yeah but not the Wye a celebrated river of the UK. You said you were near Hay but it's over 20 miles to Builth from Llangurig then another 12 to Hay. I'm trying to suss out what your route was. Did you pass through Builth or avoid the Wye Valley walk to Hay? Hey, Hay Bluff is a mountain technically - it's 677 meters. Anything above 600 meters is a mountain. So, she walked a mountain. Ah, White Castle - awesome. There's a great pitch nearby. Ye ha! The Wye Valley gets a mention. Well, good going. A new tent and vigor. All the best. Mark
Van life power couple smashing the miles underfoot........bravo guys 👏👏👏👏
Well done guys getting over the bridge before the storm arrives, it looks like you just made it in time🤞🤞 I’ll be watching out for you when you get near Dartmoor, safe travels. Cheers Mike 🍷🥃
Excellent - Another really entertaining episode... Thank you I'm glad you found another spot away from those cows..... They can be very dangerous..🐮🐄🐮🐄
ahhh, well done
Wish I'd known you'd be walking along Offas Dyke Path. You must have passed through Monmouth where I live!
❤❤❤❤❤
💜
🎉
Good afternoon Tom Izzy your smashing it Tom almost done and Izzy said you hardly met anyone on the trails thank goodness Izzy finally got out of the rain give her a big hug watch out for cows 😘🌺🌸☕️☕️🌤️
Good call on moving from the cows, they're too inquisitive and terrifying in large numbers. I've been chased through fields by them before now, and have since made huge detours over ditches and through hedges to avoid them.
Really enjoyed following this trip and was looking forward to seeing more of areas near to me in SE Wales but you clearly wanted to get to wedding as latest video jumps 100 miles in 5 minutes. Shame, couldnjave been a great series of videos
Another great video. What was the make/model of the new tent?
How many hours does it take to get 20 miles? Kudos to you and all your energy getting through those hills. Loving the scenary!
what power banks are you using? do you use one for your laptop and if so which one? 👀
Where about is that rope bridge?
great stuff, you were def right to not camp in the cow field, cows are curious creatures and they might have had a nibble at your tent, especially the guy ropes!!!!
think you made a good choice about leaving the cow field.. cows do cause alot of accidental deaths.. a cow could have stumbled on your tentlines and fallen over the tent..
Ah folks ye should know better wearing wet or damp clothing is not good for the body ye may not notice now but as you get older it will take it's toll anyway look after each and stay safe
@11:40 they can smell your Super Moodles
I think I just figured out why all the British hikers I follow on YT have tents with green rain flies. It's camouflage for the stealth camping, right? If you want to engage in "wild" camping, you have to blend in. In the U.S., it may be a better idea to have an eye-watering, brightly colored tent. In case you might want somebody to find you.

Exactly that. It’s quite hard to get anywhere truly remote in the uk, so would think being rescued is of much less concern than in the states. Whereas being caught trespassing is a much more real threat, haha. Would love to go on a truly wild expedition through America one day
