PUSHED TO MY LIMITS (wild camping on the UK’s toughest trail)
Спорт
I am taking a crazy hike. Walking from John O’Groats to Lands End, this will take me the length of Britain, around 1400 miles.
This week I am struck down with a nasty dose of man flu. I battle through hiking through the cold and finish off the west highland way! As my cold subsides I muster the power to climb Ben Nevis, the first of the three peaks (+ the bonus Cornish hill).

Poor old Tom, nothing worse than an Irish lady's lurgy! 😂
Scottish Highlands, still beautiful in the worst of weather. Great content🙂

Thanks Barry, I’m glad you’re enjoying it, it’s going to be a long series I think 🤣
You are amazing. Producing great video while traversing the most challenging terrain and weather at the same time as suffering a cold that would have put most of us to bed! Capping it off with an under 2 hour climb up Ben Nevis is super hero stuff! Just don't overdo it. 😀
Inspired, uplifted, awe inspired......thank you Tom.❤
Loving your Tolkienesque adventure in the Scottish wildlands .❤❤❤
Yeah..fantastic Tom well done, top of Ben Nevis and the beautiful walk there. You have conquered so much for these last few weeks.. you deserve to feel very proud.. looking forward to the next part of your adventure 👣😎
One word Tom, LEGEND. If anyone is having a down day, they just need to watch your vlogs 🙂congratulations on achieving this milestone
Well done Tom. You battled through illness and then climbed Ben Nevis in a couple of hours. Very impressive. Take care. Nick
phewee...I find myself grinning from ear to ear when you reached the top, goodness know how you must have felt, what a great acheivement, huge congrats and sending good vibes to you for the following weeks.
Good luck from Ireland 🥰🤑🤑🤑
Well done Tom. Amazing to do this journey for us all to see.!! 🐾Your feet will be as tough as old boots, by the time your home lol.🥑🍄🤩
Under 2hrs to summit Nevis. 👏👏. In good shape Tom.
Keep it up bro - great stuff again
Keep going Tom, we are loving your journey. We were hoping to see you last week when we were up in Scotland so that you could have had a warm brew. We hope you're feeling better.
Hang in there. BTW, I love the ragtime stylings of Scotland.😂😂😂
Tough going glad you are on the mend another great vlog👍
Love that you plowed through being I’ll. And again thank you for taking us along. I’m really enjoying it.
Well done Tom, it is such a shame that you had a bad cold, and the weather wasn’t brilliant either, because the scenery on the walk from Glen Moriston down through Glengarry is absolutely spectacular and I think you were probably not well enough to truly appreciate and enjoy your surroundings. Isn’t it great to find some thing like a little honesty box with drinks and food at the side of the road? That is one of the things I love about Scotland, trust, care, and friendship especially for the weary traveler on foot. It actually seems bizarre to see so many people around you on Ben Nevis after watching you trekking through the wilds with not a soul about since you saw Keeley &Philly. I very much hope that you can find an affordable midgie head net in Fort William and if not that Izzy can bring you one to Glasgow.
You are my hero 👍👍👍
Well done, keep going 🙏🏻⛰⛺️🥾🙌
We are really enjoying watching your videos, of this epic trek across Scotland. It is great to see these beautiful places and to watch your progress. keep going Tom you are doing so well. Only thing is we do miss Izzy but hopefully see her in the next video.
Well done Tom
Well done Tom, looked torture with a cold. Received my lost in transit t shirt last week, brilliant that you’re supporting food banks too. Keep it up! 🏴😎
That loch side stay 😍
Fantastic Tom 😊
Tom ... very impressed with your energy etc. BenNevis ... up to go
Excellent job Tom. Great achievement, despite all that has been thrown your way you done it ! Well done man !
👏👏well done Tom.
Tom, so great to see you getting better weather and shrugging off all the obstacles. Quote of the week " to train for Ben Nevis, just cross Scotland with 20kg pack on your back". Looking forward to the trail to Glasgow... PS anagram of Lost In Transit - rain lots stint

Tom keep up the good spirit, we are all backing you. I think you are crazy but an inspiration, I don’t think I could do it especially with the weather conditions in the Uk, stay strong, and remember you have to complete it now because you have thousands of subscribers watching you lol.

Spectacular footage as always Tom. That was a real achievement doing Ben Nevis in under two hours, especially having to fight your way past all the tourists! Good luck for the rest of your trip - it's been so memorable so far.

Well done Tom, inspirational!
Great vid Keep pushing But most of all enjoy the journey 🏴❤️👌👌
Hey Tom, what a time for the Ben, you are a star, mind you we thought it was just as hard for the decent, knee ache for the next day. I’m amazed your shoes were ok for that type of climb, you don’t have any ankle support. Great videos, the scenery is stunning. Get a new midgie net in the camp shop, it’s a long way till you get away from the wee besties. Cheers Mike 🍷🥃
Bloody amazing Tom You persevered and got to the top of Ben Nevis. Really proud of you and loved seeing Keely and Philly supporting you as always love the bothys and the little cabins along the way. Keep on going and Izzy will be there waiting on you in Glasgow. Congratulations would love to meet ye in person

Awsome as always Tom ..the way you powered through catching a cold to the other side of it is a testimaent to your determination. I need a rest now after climbing with you at that speed to the top of Ben Nevis :o)
Altogether Impressive!
Some amazing views there along your journey just stunning. Best of luck as always 💪💪💪
Great effort Tom...fab scenery too! Keep going 💪! Cheers Steve
Well done, Tom. When I've got a cold I don't even want to leave the house, never mind trek through the Highlands.

Brilliant Tom what an awesome achievement against it up to now . Keep it up stay strong 💪 👍🏻
Well done Tom for powering on through your cold, then climbing Ben Nevis in under 2 hours! Wow! That was some trek.
Another great vlog Tom. Glad you had a few "down" days in the van, shame you caught the lurgy. Hope gou get more better dats soon. It's so much nicer walking in the dry.
Well Done Tom! Loving watching you achieve inspirational self goals!
Get Iz to bring you those 1000 mile socks in Glasgow!
Well done from Ireland 😅
Amazing, so well done you did look ill! And then to climb Ben Nevis in less than 2 hours, just wow ❤
So happy you got some much needed rest. I am now following your mates. What a great meet up with Izzy soon. You look great. We are cheering you on from Maryland USA. Cheers mate🎉
Tom, you're a star - ! I doubt many (if any!) of those Ben Nevis tourists had travelled so far and hard as you to reach the top - well done, and so glad to see you safe and well 🙂
Well done Tom and thank you for sharing. That little cabin by the lake is magical.
Well, that was a test for you, bad blisters and horrible cold whilst on what is probably the toughest part of your challenge. I loved it! Still a long way down to England. I hope you find the Borders (the Debatable Lands) just as enjoyable with a fascinating history.

I will have Isabel with me through the borders so will be good fun I’m sure. My plan is to follow the Kertigan way from Glasgow down to the boarder, so Scotland should continue to deliver the goods ⛰️
Well done on persevering through all the ailments and isolation so far! You really are an inspiration. Camping in La Bamba must seem like sheer luxury now. Hopefully it will get easier from now on. Thanks for taking the extra trouble to film it, to share it with all of us on the channel. Keep safe. Amazing!
Oh well done!
Keep going Tom, as I’ve just watched you in this video you can feel your low mood lifting as you shook off your cold wondering across the moorlands. At the end when you’re on top of Ben Nevis you are quite literally and figuratively on top of your game and as high as you can get in the Uk😂 Have a great week and I’m sure you’ll have an extra spring in your steps knowing that you’ll be meeting up with Issey. 👍

Really awesome effort mate, this also makes for truly compelling viewing, your videos are the best I have seen in the highlands for a very long time, keep up the good work 👍
Amazing vistas & scenic glens/valleys of Scotland. Bothys great system & convenient along the trek.
Fantastic Tom 👏 you could hear the change in your voice upon reaching civilization and meeting people and chatting and smiling, knowing all the hardest walking is done and dusted 🥾 sub 2hrs for Ben Nevis is awesome 👍 Superb atb Brian 👍
Amazing accomplishment Tom especially with not feeling well. What memories your are making - what stories you will tell!
Well done on getting over the cold in the hardest part of the route...you could sense your form improving with every step towards Fort William...looking forward to your adventures on the West Highland Way...Best wishes

Well done 👍. Hiking with a cold is tough. Lovely drone shots. Visited Loch Lochy a few years ago, it's a lovely place (as all the other places/Lochs in Scotland). Take care Tom 🙏
Amazing! Well done you- you should be proud of yourself for what you have completed on this first leg.
Hey Tom. We are absolutely loving this series (and all the LIT content). A fine achievement and an epic adventure. Hope it's still going well and you have/had a lovely reunion with Izzy. Inspiring stuff. We are off to Scotland at the end of the month and hope to climb Ben Nevis too, maybe we'll check out the site you were at, it looks like a perfect base to tackle the climb. Keep it up fella, Kevin & Nicky x
