Just a wee thing. St Andrews Cathedral in Glasgow isn't medieval. It was built in the 19th Century. The medieval Glasgow Cathedral, which is also known as St Mungo's High Kirk, is the one at the top of Glasgow's High Street. That's the one that was built at the shrine of St Mungo. It's also just over a mile away from St Andrews Cathedral. The castle you camped at was Bothwell Castle.

@@LostInTransit It's probably an easy mistake to make, if you don't know the city. In Glasgow, there are three official cathedrals, and one unofficial cathedral. The one that everyone calls Glasgow Cathedral is the unoffical one, as there aren't cathedrals in the Kirk of Scotland. Glasgow Cathedral is now part of the Kirk of Scotland, but was originally Catholic. If you're ever in Glasgow again, give me a shout, and I can show you that one.

The John Buchan Way is named after the author of one of my favourite books/ films - The Thirty Nine Steps. John had a strong association with Peebles. There's a fab wee museum there with all his works in it. You were so distracted by having the lovely Izzy with you, you forgot about your stick!! True Love !🥰
