I agree, let's keep the remote locations remote, very conscientious decision. Pity about the done, set up a patreon page fund and let's get started with funding a third drone ! And this time get insurance ie, no return from flight, DJI offer it.

Hi Colm, so glad you are taking something from our videos. We have learnt so many amazing things while traveling through Ireland and are very excited to share it.

There is a good campsite in Glengariff in the Beare peninsula and it’s open 24 hours a day. Nearby is quaint Glengariff village where Maureen O’Hara holidayed every year in her home that her family still owns. Don’t miss nearby Bantry and especially Bantry House and ground. And Jeremy Irons lives in Kilcoe Castle tower just beyond in Skibbereen.

Unfortunately Bantry house is closed at the mo. We actually ended up staying at a very funny little campsite in Glengariff, it was basically someone's garden, we loved it so much . Kilcoe Castle has been added to the list, thank you

When you go to mizen head make sure you go to dunlough fort castle ( three castle head )

amazing, that is so nice to hear! yeah the drone was a real pain, but we got over it in the end, nothing a bit of rugby and guinness couldnt sort out, haha.

Another fantastic episode guys, loved the tunes, even though it was the last flight of the drone it was pretty epic with that soundtrack,loved every moment 💚💚💚

@@LostInTransit Great video, didn't you take the cover with DJI, they do cover flyaways I believe? I practiced and crashed a couple of times with a cheap drone, then bought a mini 2 and had it a year before I managed to crash it, but it still flies even though it is now glued up everywhere!

Oh no not another drone keep the heads up and enjoying our wee country. Great video 👍

We have been absolutely blown away by the number of people following us on our little journey plodding down the coast. I love the thought of the digital Croke Park crowd cheering us on!

Jaysus. Poor drone. In fairness she went out with a banger of a shot. Looked the epic finale of movie. Can’t get a bad shot in that part of the country. Beara next and then my home county with 1100 Kms of coastline. Best of luck guys.

Sorry to hear about the drone. We trashed one by taking off and hitting branch panicked and went wrong way. Drone fell on rocks. We have dji refresh so didn’t cost full money. Feel like lost mojo on it now as constantly worrying about it.

We now have DJI refresh! lesson learnt! yeah i feel im going to be super cautious from now, but need to make myself take a few risks to get the best shots, just a little scared

Well done to think about this. Especially important in relatively more pristine places like Beara, Sheep's Head and Mizen peninsulas. When the individual traveller, driven by curiosity, finds somewhere nice, that's a pleasure for the locals. When mass tourism hits, it can alter the nature of the place and try the patience of the local people who have to do the cleaning up after the less responsible visitors.

I think coming from Cornwall we have seen what "over tourism" can do to places that do not have the infrastructure to deal with it. It can be very hard to find the balance, but i think respect for the local people and places is key, treat it like your own home.

I love the comfy looking multi use of your bed space set up.

Great video and very hard luck re the second drone, it was a dramatic exit. Kerry is very impressive with its ancient landscape and ruins - I was relieved there were no underground chambers this week! Hope you are weathering the current storms safely and in reasonable comfort. Looking forward to the next edition.

Yeah, i think the way the drone died was part of why i found it so hard to deal with. It was so stressful just watching it disappear into the distance as it beeps at me for low battery. Yeah no chambers this week, i think they will all be flooded now after these rains, so you may be safe from anymore subterranean adventures

94 more days! Then off to Ireland! I said it before, but I do so very much love your videos. My grandmother would always say, "Into every life a little rain must fall." Tough break about the drone, but it did give you an awesome view of the coastline on it's final flight. It is too bad you will won't be around when I get there, but you are whetting my appetite for the Emerald Isle in a big way. Stay safe.

That Ogham was wonderful to see. For some wierd reason, it always makes me feel kind of proud and connected to my ancestors. We have Ogham throughout our passports, which I always love to look at. :-)

We have now invested in care refresh! learnt my lesson after the last two drones

I first (and last) saw the ‘Ship house’ you pointed out in this video way back in the late 1950s when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I had begun to think it was a figment of my imagination so it was a great surprise to see it again. My memory surpasses my imagination, which is good and bad, lol.

Yeah, it was quite something, never seen anything like it. I thin we were a little sheltered at the campsite and then at a certain hight it was just gone! what a bummer, we are over it now though, ohmmmmm

really enjoyed this weeks episode Tom and Iz pity about the drone ive smashed quite a few over the years ..to be honest you both have great video skills and Tom your editing is great so i think you could get away with no drone shots for abit although the drone shots can be epic ,,,,, love the balloon for the water in the van idea so cheap yet does the job

Hey Marian, ha love it! it was a dramatic scene and cool that Tom could still capture the low res footage of the drone flying off on his phone. Shame we didnt capture its final moments into the sea!!

Great video really making Ireland stand out. Hard yo believe this in all on the island I live on. Don't beat yourself up about the drone, probably not get much use out of it this month with the storms hope your staying safe and well as that is more important.

We had been one week behind, as we would film one week and edit the next, but in Dingle we had to split a weeks vlog over two episodes and havent been able to catch back up!

I have been really enjoying all your vids. It is lovely to see your delight at the wonderful sights that you have seen on the journey. You are probably now in the midst of one of my favourite places. The Beara Peninsula is simply awesome. Nicer in my opinion than the Ring of Kerry and definitely quieter in tourist season. There is an open campsite at Berehaven golf club. An amazing spot to park the van would be near Dursey cable car (1 K before it.). I look forward to the next installment.

HI Stephen, i like your thinking, we really loved the beara peninsula and like you said the reason we liked it was the peace and tranquility and boy was it beautiful!! Hello folks, I would just like to thank you for all the pleasure your videos have given me. I loved your Scottish travels as I lived and worked there many years and remembered so much. Also worked in Ireland and have many fond memories of there. A place I think you would love is the Shetland Isles where i worked for several months many years ago. Beautiful beaches and stunning coastal scenery and pretty quiet. Also pretty windy!! One last comment - you are a lovely couple and as I am sure many others have commented Isabel has the most beautiful eyes!

Thanks John, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah the drone issue was a bit of a bummer but the next one is already in action (although not much over the last few days)

What awful bad luck, 2 drones in 2 weeks. Had i have crashed one of my drones and it still appeared to work, i would have set distance and height to a maximum of 50 to 100 metres. Done a few flight tests and made sure it was flying correctly. Not nice to lose a drone, hopefully it will not happen again. 🙏😥

What a relief! For a moment I thought you'd lost more forks 😨 Fingers crossed that's the last drone that makes a bid for freedom. I'm looking forward to seeing how you coped during the storms that hit the UK (and Ireland, I assume) since this episode was recorded. Hopefully better weather is going to arrive soon. Hey David hahaha thankfully the forks are still intact, still have four haha. Yep third time lucky with the drone and we are being super duper careful, if not too cautious now!! thank youu we were fine for the storms, tucked ourselves inland a bit, I hope you were ok in them too! :)

Great episode and lined the fact that you found the beach at Balinaskellig, it's so picturesque there, the bay with the mountains behind it, the little castle. The light was so amazing when I was there was well and the water so turquoise. I have a canvas print thing on my wall from a photo I took there it was so amazing. I was sad to see the loss of your second drone, but since you have me the heads up in my comment on last weeks video I wasn't as sad, though I was waiting for when it actually happened. At least you got an amazing video back from it as it flew out to see. I think the fairies may be influencing your drones and taking control of them!!! I have to say it was surreal watching the footage from the drone as you described it being out of control. Anyway, don't be down, you're in an amazing part of the world and I'm sure there are even more amazing places to see on your adventure around Ireland as you continue on your way. Take care and keep up the great videos.

Hello Matt, thank you for this encouragement!! haha like the idea of the fairies taking our drones.. someone else said the drone wanted to be free like us and i kinda like that ha. We have a new one and are being super careful with it! with the recent storms we dont have a great deal of footage but better safe than sorry.. and luckily no bad luck with drones this week phew!! Love the idea of having the pic you took at Ballenskellig on your wall.. might have to do something similar if we ever have a house in the future.. Take care :)

Haha, i love that we will have matching balloon water set ups. Yeah we really have had the run of the place, has been so quiet, and yeah the new cutlery is SO good. I actually forgot how good it is to use a fork, haha
