Confidence comes from realizing you're already good. You've convinced yourself through comparison, others opinions, etc. that you're not good enough. You have intrinsic value. From that foundation, build confidence with competence on top of it. Tell yourself that you're amazing from the core. Peel off the layers that don't serve you anymore. Shift the story! Change the narrative about yourself. You're amazing. Love the video Brendon!

Be confident in your ability to achieve the goals... to accomplish despite setbacks or disapointments. Know that the journey will come with failure and wins. Identify the knowledge and skills required to achieve what you desire. This way you can have confidence in your ability to achieve even if you aren't where you want to be. Even if you fail. Because you're not measuring confidence against your status or externals rather you are just confident in the process of learning and growing to achieve the goals in life... whether thats career, sport, health, or relationships

Thank you Brendon for this video! Confidence is always something I have struggled with; especially since I feel I have been called to minister to others through Social Media. I have major dental issues, I'm overweight, and just have never had the confidence to do videos or speak in public. I will definitely use the tools you have shown in not only this video but so many that you have shared in my own channel here on KZread and in any speaking engagements God would have me be part of. God Bless you and all those that are helped by your great advice!

This is my life story (and my siblings). My parents were never satisfied with what we achieved, always raising the bar. Therefore, we always fell short. It's taken 50 years to figure that out and a life full of struggle. Now that I understand that... I am doing better and everyday is an effort to build that self-confidence.

Great video Brendon. Confidence is something some of us have naturally within or something that is given to us from people we love and respect through tutelage, praise and encouragement. It is not until we truly recognise our own confidence that we capitalise on our skills and talents, and make great things happen in our lives.Confidence is an important part of personal development, and that's why I cover it so much on my channel. Love seeing you talk about topics like these. Thank you :-)

It's true! Compitence is greater than image any day! Lasting confidence is made of compitence. The pieces are starting to fit into place. It all comes together! It's much more satisfying to say, "i did it!" Than, "Look, look! Listen!" Big minds talk about things, like items and such. Small minds talk about people. Have a vision and create a better tomorrow for everyone! Don't gossip. Focus on your goals. Be positive and stay awesome!

"Confidence Without Clarity Is A Disaster". People think confidence is a kind of substitute for clarity - it is not. Let’s say whenever you want to make big decisions in your life, either professional or family-related, all you do is get yourself a coin and flip it, “Heads we will do this, tails we will do that.” It will work fifty percent of the time! If you are right only fifty percent of the time, there are only two professions you can pursue - you can either be a weatherman or an astrologer. If you are in any other job, you would most likely be fired.

It's taken awhile, but I've learned that confidence comes BEFORE confidence and not after. This was counter-intuitive to me. Meaning we have to do a great deal of inner work to question my untrue stories of self-doubt, "not good enough" or what others are thinking first and then confidence is what is left. The more I question my thinking that leads me to feel not confident, the more confident is how I naturally show up at work and in life. Just my experience - anybody else notice this in their life?

Just believe you’re a good person. Currently I bike around and say out loud. I’m Excellent! Keep telling myself how awesome I am. I spent 2-3 hours on the phone just this AM, rebooking flights. I was on hold for 1.5 hours with Delta Amsterdam but didn’t give up, how awesome am I! I made it through medical school. Totally fantastic, yes external but I’m still very very proud, that I got in and made it out. Also survived a brain tumor and major brain surgery. Took a week long exam, that I studied for 3.5 years, passed on second trial. Great truly great! In terms of money, just want enough to pay bills and beyond. Be comfortable and have the freedom to work part time, post divorce. In my marriage my spouse put me down so much, since the separation I feel so much better about myself. I’m free and happy. So yes external forces and people you live with that put you down can still rob you of confidence.

Thank you so much. I'm a medical student and I love my almost job, but I find myself to struggle with my confidence. One paramedic during an emergency told me " You are not going to be a doctor if you don't say what you think with a louder voice, you look weak". Another time one of my professors told be I'm too emotive cause I was anxious during my exam, I don't have problems with that, I was just thinking everybody had a good score on that exam, I could go well too and I did at the end, but I was anxious of being less good than others. These critics helped me a little to understand my flaws but at the same time I'm still stuck. A lot of times I think "I should study more so my confidence will grow up and while I'm doing my conference oral exam I will have the top result" but I'm stuck the same, I never reach the top, I study almost all day during exam period, if I do something like going out shopping with a friend, I feel disappointed cause I could spend that time studying... even if I have a schedule for studying, like 12 h a day for big exams, I just can not memorize well during that period cause I'm worried and always feeling not confident. I find myself to be not confident during the process of preparing my exam, I'm just discouraged. I will watch one of your videos everyday, take notes to make some improvement, I hope to become better.

You know I think ego-based thinking always pits someone as better and someone else as less, and when you think about things thru spirit or love- based thinking you know everyone is inherently equal and worthy of love and acceptance. Also, I know so many grandmas that grew up in communities where you see natural bodies all the time, and elders are revered and they have no problem with self confidence. They never think that they should think they are less than someone for any reason, except for maybe if your internal values are not good. integrity of spirit is so much more important than physical/material anything. And even THEN, we are all growing at our own paces in our own worlds and we all deserve mercy and grace. We need to stop comparing and live out kind, fierce and intentional lives.
