The never ending stream of information makes you to become wrapped up in your thoughts, instead being grounded in reality. Instability triggers anxiety and results in stress.

For me exercise is key 🔑 Exercise lowers your body’s stress hormones - such as cortisol - in the long run. It also helps release endorphins, which are chemicals that improve your mood and act as natural painkillers 🙏🏼

Thank you for this video. The expectations conversation is so important. I never understood I need to have that. But everytime I've been stressed, worried, angry because of other people, it was because we did not discuss our expectations upfront. Will do this now.

Thank you, Brendon! This is a very useful, practical video. I usually have stress under control, but lately it has been really hard to control it. Lots of anxiety. I'm a scientist, I know how bad it can be on your immune system, and health in general. But it's a normal human response. Anyhow, you need to know the tools and take breaks to control it. I will follow your advice like a clock! I actually knew the technique, but I have been so stressed out that I even forgot them! Thanks so much for the reminder! All the best. P.S. They should teach these techniques at the hospitals and places where research for COVID-19 is taking place. There is an incredible amount of stress on the health workers and scientific community right now. Much more than the normal amount of stress.

Set expectations early during the pre-mortem. What will the steps look like? Release tension that accumulates. By sitting in silence for a few minutes several times a day. Follow it up with recentering to a montra, phrase, or purpose, bring the awareness back. Then, set the intention for the next moment. Finally, look for support.
