We all fall into burnout mode and need to take time to rejuvenate. Unfortunate we don't recognize that. We tend to believe that if we are not creating, we're wasting valued time. Thank you for breaking it down Brendon.

It always comes down to that dance between work and play. Too much play makes me feel guilty and too little work also makes me feel guilty. But if COVID19 has taught me anything, it's that we don't really need all the materialistic stuff that we are working so hard for. I believe that when get back to a life of simplicity we will strike the perfect balance between work and play. What are you're guys thoughts on this? PS Thanks Brendon for sharing the experience of HPX live with us even though we might not live in USA! Much love and appreciation!!

I write a lot of music and sometimes I don't write anything or even play for a couple of years and then all of a sudden I'll make 50+ songs in a month that are golden , wether we realise it at the time we all need to step back sometimes and realise we need a break

I absolutely love this powerful message, perfect timing. You’re so right about not being an awesome mom 24 7 and having help from in-laws is great, but I don’t want help from my partner, I expect them to parent and be an equally awesome dad cause this is their job too.

That was an incredible video. I can so much relate to everything said. Giving yourself credit is hard when you'd like to see things at another level TODAY. The time to recover, the ENERGY management, is very powerful. Thank you Brendon!

Paul states in one of the Book's of Corinthians ( there were actually three books. Only two made the Cannon.) " I do what I don't want to do and I don't do what I ought. " We focus on the old man and not the great and good things that the new creation is doing. We're focused on law and not grace and what we're doing right.

Breaks are vital for performance. But not just during the day, but longer breaks. Activity happens short term and long term. Activity that occurs short term can use short intermittent breaks. Activity that occurs long term need longer breaks spread out. Short term activity: short breaks every short period Long term activity: long breaks ever long period Amorfati. Premortum.

Its similar to going on a diet. You start off strong, and feel great for the first few months. Then one cheat day turns into two, then two turns into a week. And all of a sudden, you're back to your old self eating pizza everyday on the couch

Reminds me of a story of when the live action Tarzan was preparing for his physique look for the role. One day his trainer just saw the life leaving the guy's eyes as he was eating another plain high protein meal.. so he grabbed him and took him to some McDonalds or Pizza because being high performance all the time, the guy needed a pitstop or he was going to be out for alot longer.
