    The biggest help with my hair was increasing my protein intake. I try to get at least 30% of my calories from protein. That made a MAJOR difference. But the hair and iron supplements also helped as well. ❤️

    Mindy, I am so curious…. How did you figure out all of the ins and outs for your own body? Quite impressive that you had the knowledge and the patience (not sure which is harder) to just give your body the time it needed to adjust! In the zillions of diets I have followed….this has never occurred to me! Everyone is usually in such a mad rush to lose lose lose…..all while losing the sight of the big picture.     Do you have a video that you talked about in detail your "cut" system and give examples as well as what you eat during your cut verses when you are not in the cut? If not could you do a video on that?

    Hey Kellie, I've talked through my "cut" system a few times but not in much more detail than I did here. I pretty much eat the same things in a cut and on maintenance... I just eat a bit more... or I eat out a few more times during the week. I will also usually add a bit more fat into my diet during maintenance because it's an easy way to get calories without increasing volume since I can't eat a lot in a sitting.

    Using a TDEE calculator is a good starting point... then, basically, you add calories until you stop losing. ❤️

    Hey Elizabeth, It's been a little different each time, but the intention is 12 weeks in a cut followed by 4 weeks in maintenance, but that is flexible. ❤️

    A big ole congratulations to you!!!! And you look soooo amazing! I may have missed this next question somewhere so please excuse me. I know some of your reasons for changing between meds. But I’m wondering if you found that changing from semaglutide to trezpatide and back to semaglutide helped with your weight loss? I’m not discrediting all your hard work and meals prepping and all the hard stuff, because I know that’s the biggest part of your journey. The reason I ask, is I am diabetic, I’ve been on Mounjaro for a year and a half and my weight loss has stopped, but I also haven’t been exercising, but I noticed my blood sugars are a little higher and my “food noise” is back. I’m on the highest dose and have been on that dose for a while now. Guess I’m wondering if the break from one type of med is a help. I’ll certainly be discussing this with my doctor on my next visit but I was just curious on your thoughts.

    Hey Janice, Mounjaro never really worked that great for me at all. I never had the kind of results I achieved on Wegovy. (Even in the beginning) so, I just think my body responds better to Semaglutide. I have done a couple videos talking about the differences between MJ and Wegovy for me if you missed those. ❤️ I have seen chatter in the FB groups about people switching up dose strength and meds to get their groove back with success, however I think my body just loves Wegovy. ❤️

    @@mindypweightloss I was on ozempic for 6 months but only got to the 1mg dose but didn’t lose any weight at all and I was still on insulin then. I switched to MJ in December of 22 and lost about 30 lbs and my blood sugars are drastically lower and I am no longer on insulin. So I do know it worked better for me but I also think I moved up in doses so fast that maybe my body is use to it. I guess. 🤷‍♀️. I’m not complaining because as I said I haven’t been exercising so I need to start back with that and maybe I’ll drop some more weight. My blood sugars are still normal but just a little higher than in the beginning of this dose.

    @janschautz1965 weight loss is 90% your diet. Increasing your NEAT will help you increase your base metabolic rate, but exercise in general has very little to do with weight loss.

    Discord is a "chat program." It's used a lot by gamers for streaming, but it's also a good way to stay in touch. ❤️ There are a bunch of really good how-to videos on YT that can walk you through it better than I could in a comment. 🥰😘

    My dhea is super low and testosterone. How much did your testosterone go up? I take this brand 25mg a day. Need to get tested now after 4 months.

    @@mindypweightloss Thanks. My primary Dr couldn’t care least about my dhea and testosterone levels. I take that pure dhea because my Naturopath MD years ago recommend it cause dhea was low. She quit practicing so I stopped the dhea 25mg a day and did 10mg like 5x a week. When my primary sent for bloodwork after me begging …thats when I seen both were way low. She said Everything LOOKS NORMAL 🙄So I upped the dhea to 25mg a day. Curious to see if they went up. Thanks for sharing and congrats, you can def see the loss. We started at the same I think. Im down 130 🥳

    I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you called around to different pharmacies and mail-order pharmacies? Sam's Club and Costco often have supply, and you don't need a membership to use their pharmacy. Best of luck in your search!

    The research I did (along with the advice from my Dr) showed that D3 is a fat soluble vitamin and is best absorbed when paired with high levels of fat. The supplement I take has high-quality olive oil in it for absorption, and it has done a great job of increasing my D levels all on its own. We actually had to back me down to 5 days a week because my levels got a bit too high at one point.

    @@mindypweightloss While vitamin D3 helps your body absorb more calcium, vitamin K2 helps your body transport it to your bones and teeth rather than letting it sit in your arteries and other soft tissues in your body. This not only helps to promote bone health, but it also helps to keep your heart healthy as well.

    Mindy alot of people are having bad experiences with Macro Friendly Foods. It's not a matter of their website not being good. People pay and then are blocked from printing recipes other than those for the month of the subscription. They block people from downloading/printing earlier recipes. Also, every recipe of theirs I have tried is bland-- they are BAD at spices and flavors. You know alot about cooking so you are good at making the flavors better but the recipes themselves are just not good. You endorse them way too much imho.

    You are the first person I've gotten that feedback from. I get messages from people daily telling me how much they love MFF recipes and how happy they are to have found them. I'm so sorry that you haven't enjoyed them... but I stand by my love for MFF. In regards to spices, I have never had a single recipe I've tried (from any site/creator) that I haven't had to adjust to my tastes (blandness is pretty common in recipe creation because you're trying to appeal to everyone's tastes). I am aware that you can only print the current and previous months' PDFs (all recipes are available to view on the app from all months)... however, if you forget to do a printout from a month that you've had your subscription, they will happily send the PDFs to you. I'm not much of a printed recipe girly, so it's not something I ever thought to mention. It makes perfect sense to me that they don't allow you to print all recipes because then there would be no reason for people to keep a subscription. 🤷‍♀️
