@@TradeWithTrend Ok, i am investing from 2015 and learned and earned good things from Mr. mkt. but there are some concerns like early exit, unable to hold the winners sply in the loose mkt when mkt pullbacks for ex now hindcopper holding from long and its double but now sold @270 thinking will add more once it will come down and now stock is again moving up so unable to control such situation sply with winners.(HAL, voltas, tanla and radico are past examples) Also unable to do the pyramiding, as in a process of core PF creation and mostly face lot of thinking or confusion while adding more on the stocks if its + 10-20 % like Naukri, Asian paint, berger paint, tata power, TATAMO all are 10-20% + in core PF,. in short able to find the stock in place but unable to ride the trend and top up on it.

Hi Prasanna In Pullback trading series and in Positional, I have addressed this problem in detail. Basically you need to ride the trend with Pivots. There are some specific risk reward based exits I have taught as well. Just go through these. You should be able to rectify this mistake.

Hi Raunak. I wanted to understand about a volume pattern. What does sustained high levels of volume mean for a stock? Can we say it's in an accumulation phase? Case in point, HDFC bank - It had very high levels of volume in between Mar - Aug '20. Similar high levels can also be seen sice July '23. A similar pattern is also seen in AIQ (ETF). Does such volume patterns have a relevance in Price Action?

Hi Raunak, Another masterpiece from you ! Really loved the way this is presented. Yesterday I exactly drew the quadrants and tried to put some stocks into it and finally came up with the list. Now looking at this video I will further refine my list. The example of charts of HDFC and SBI along with fundamentals was so elegant yet simple! This clearly shows how simple things along with common sense really work in market. Yet, I used to run for complicated stuff until joining you. Now I have made it simple. BTW, I started STP in SMM space and have trimmed the underperformers out. Currently it's doing very well. Since I joined positional community late I missed the earlier cycle and have some cash in hand to deploy. So, I am doing STP in current cycle based on the theme you have explained in video. 1st lot of STP has gone in today and will keep doing it every Friday, adhering to the rules ! I will soon share my story in one of the QnA about how I came to your channel and finally to the positional ! Once again thanks a lot !

Thanks so much If you are doing a fresh STP, you have to follow SL rules to the tee. Its a little bit later for STP cycle and hence take a not of it. In the first quarter of this year, markets will pullback. This is when risk reward will get back in favour. Just follow the rules, you will be fine.

@@chandramrv4467 That's the manual calculation. It's realised profits in a year / average capital used in that year. Realised profit you can find in profit and loss statement of your demat account. Capital should be the invested amount + cash reserved for investment at the beginning of the year. If you added more capital in between the year calculate avarage capital accordingly. E.g. suppose you have 5 lakhs of shares and 5 lakhs cash reserved for investment at the beginning of a year then your capital is 10 lakhs. Now after 6 months you added another 2 lakhs from your pocket then your average capital for that year is ((10 * 12) + (2 * 6) ) / 12 = 11 lakhs Now let's say your realised gains are 3.3 lakhs then as capital is 11 lakhs your overall gains are 30% Hope this helps.

Hi Dotbasing. Thanks. When I talk about valuation of sectors, its little to do with Price charts and more to do with Economies of scale at Macro level. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong. I dont track Pharma closely and rarely trade/invest in it, but if few things align at Global level, then Metals at this stage is available at dirt cheap valuations.

Thanks Raunak , very well explained and its always treat watching you. One question , as currently I am fully invested for my trading portfolio and investment portfolio so how do we apply this. What I follow currently to exit the stock if any stock is hitting SL or underperforming market. This way I generate some cash and deploy either to the exisiting position or any promising stock. Please advise if we should be keeping some % of cash in current bullish situation. Let me tell you that I am very nimble in entry and exit.

Hi Praveen Today I updated about trimming out some of my winners to bring down number of stocks from 20 to 8 (Small, Mid, Microcap segment) Along with this, I am doing the same in my large cap portfolio. Reducing number of holdings, booking profits in bottom 5-6 names. This will free up some cash for me. Around 20-22%. 20% CAGR is something you can expect for real. But this is certainly on the lower end. Provided you hold good structures and be with companies that exhibit strong sales and profit. Its actually not difficult to find these.

ST, You will raise cash now from underperforming stocks now OR after pullback in Nifty 500/Nifty 50. This is little bit tricky when you exit the underperforming stocks in the portfolio. How and when you decide to exit underperforming stocks. If i recall correctly during earlier Mar-April 2023 cycle you exited underperforming srocks during last week of July and first week of August and trimmed the portfolio to top 7-8 stocks.

Hi Sankaran If you are fully invested, you need to do nothing. Just trail. RS BO analysis at beginning of cycle and quadrant analysis when markets have run up in the short term.

STP can be done right away. But follow the -5% Portfolio level rule strictly. Once market has run up, starting post that always has some additional risk.
