Hi Raunak, Thank you for explaining in detail you mentioned that if you add to the existing positions you will consider as new positions to calculate your returns but the average price will change. If you take the new price it will effect the previously entered avg buy price. Thank you.

So in this case if you do pyramiding or 33,33,33(3different entries) you add in different accounts ? And previously you mentioned that in every dip in Lcap you will put in some money you gave an ex of Tatas but now you are slowly going to cash can you explain this. Thank you.

HI Raunak, Thank you for the wonderful analysis as usual, for me it has been petty good phase for last 3 to 4 months, hardly took any new entries, and believe me whole brokerage charge for was less than 600 INR in last 2 months, this week I took off some profits(over 10%) of the table and remaining riding , but still in cash did not deploy yet to anything. I will give sometime for my self to align things and then take a call, in mean time will analyze charts and keep them aside, I am in no rush now, happy to say this FY till date I have booked over 70% (pre tax), and unrealised is over 30 to 35% still running not in rush to book, so I am very relaxed remaining part of this FY year. Now a days I concentrate only on weekly and monthly chart (u might have observed that) and take entries if any on daily and for some reason I find it very peaceful and less stress. I urge whoever have confusion watching or analysing chart on daily TF, please move to weekly and even monthly u will be able to identify clear trend and also less noise and less confusion. Thank ones again for building this wonderful community.

Thanks for a great update.. Just wanted to know, how do we pick the 10 names? Should we prefer the stocks that have run up about 100% in last few weeks (like MSTC, Inox wind, Surya roshni) vs the already known themes in the market like Broking, Railway etc. It has been observed that the consumer durables sector has broken out and if it retest the same, should we go long in one or two stocks with STP approach or 30,3030% scale in.

Hi Ruchika If one has entered late, then such candles become a problem. Last valid entry in Indus was 1465 in Nov. So such weekly candles don't impact traders as such

Hello sir...Irrespective of the great run since April 23, most of the railway stock are running crazy since last 2 days. Since they are moving on high volumes, can it be concluded that smart money is still interested to accumulate at this level? Can we assume that there is still scope of price going up in near term?

It depends on their time frame. What if they are buying for the next 10 years but in between stocks fall 50% ? How many would be able to withstand this ?

Along with these, I track VCP and Flag I prefer these patterns as I have practiced a lot with these.

Hi Raunak. I have one quick question, would be great if you could help. I am a swing trader. I use the daily TF only and sometimes the weekly. After the fall on 20th Dec, made a decent amount of return but one shakeout takes out all the unrealized gains and 2-3% of realized gains. Is this normal or is there a way this can be mitigated, because I know it cannot be avoided?

I am not Raunak, but I want to tell you that it's perfectly normal thing. See, no one can catch exact top and bottom, our aim must be to capture most of the move rather than capturing whole move. And believe me money lies in between and not at the top or the bottom!

In Swing trading, this does happen. But you need to check your SL's,. If its not based on pivots, then you will get shaken out more.

Indian B or Union, Pnb were all valid buys in Mar - apr 2023 and then in Nov 2023. As of now, seem extended in the short term and do require a pullback,

Your observation is correct. But this is the second breakout. The first one was in first week of December when it went into HH HL structure along with Stage 2

Raunak Sir. I sell most of my positions after 3R of Risk and fails to ride massive trend stock makes.. Is it better strategy to not sell all and keep 30 % of position and again add back again after stocks breakout after shorter pullback. I find most of the my position keeps reducing as stocks keeps trending higher....

It depends on your time frame. Are you a short term momentum trader ? If yes, then your strategy is fine.

We have seen that Japanese stock market crash for a long time and also chinese market while global markets are heading higher. Will there be any situation like that in indian market and how will we know that?

Raunak i have 1 question, whenever i select any stock and that goes into deep correction of 7% and more still it is difficult for me to exit that stock. coz i assume that eventually markets will go up. another question i have is i am not able to differentiate between Swing and positional trades. the positional stocks selected if gives good return in short term I just exit them quickly. please guide on this part

I am not Raunak, but still, I would like to guide you. Fix your stoploss amount according to your account size, buy only such number of quantities that will give a loss of fixed stoploss amount. And no matter what exit at that point. And about winning positions, don't decide before that 'this trade is for short term' and 'this is for positional' go with the trend trail your stoploss and stay until it gets hit.

You are too focused on PnL and I suppose you track this figure closely. The problem you have is more on discipline lines. You need to have firm rules and then the discipline to adhere to those rules.

Raunak bhai - How you allocate your money. For EG, 100 Rs is what you have. 40 Rs in investment and 60 Rs in Positional + SMM. Also for investments, do you keep trailing with deeper stop loss or you believe in long term story? For Eg Dmart you have mentioned you believe in long term story.

its been 4 years in Trading. I love to Trade Equity. Now I am Holding PNC Infra. My AVG buy is 375. Scaled aggressively. Sometimes its difficult to hold as price falls and its very hard to see Profit going out in front of eyes but i am following process ..as i missed good move in Prestige at 500 ,NBCC at 55 ...now all stocks are 2x ,3x. Hi Pravin Just part and parcel of process. As your stock extends, you can think about partial profits also.

How a breakout trader following only William O'Neal school of trading should approach, if 2024 turns out to be a year of squats & pullbacks. Trading V shape recovery is with good risk reward seems impossible, bcoz entry & exits will be quite fast moving.

Hi Deep There will always be pockets with secular trends. This is what one should look for if one is primarily a breakout trader. Once price pulls back, then look for stocks breaking out early.

Hope you are not a short term speculator in the market. I say so because Bank Index alone is up 20% in the last 2 years with many banks up more than 100%. So I dont think most are wrong. It may be that you were too short term in nature or you chose stocks that did not perform.

It had a stage 2 breakout in Dec Now testing out breakout region. If it stays above 115-120 (Stage base), it can still do fine. As to 240 or anything else, no one can tell you this.
