Lovely knowledge. Thank you. I too exited significantly 2 days ago. Felt that there must be an unknown reason why the market was falling significantly. The next day the same red candles got eclipsed by a Green candle. Can I possibly ignore the Sharp Red and Sharp Green and look for patterns? Are there any patterns (Minervini etc.) that accommodate such sharp random drops?

Hi ST ! it's always a pleasure to hear your weekly outlook of the market. Thank You for all the hardwork you put in. I was just wondering if you could start a series on short term trading in stocks. You had such a series a few years back. In the day and age where even big news channels are pushing traders towards f&o trading due to the obvious reason of generating more commission and taxes I think a series on short term stock trading can massively benefit the new and upcoming traders in terms of building foundational knowledge and at the same time it will reinstate the faith of these ultra short term partisipants in equity. I know it will ask more effort on your part and there are regulations in place but I think this could be a good initiative.

Hi Ankit I discontinued this due to tax implications and the opportunity available over medium term. Short term trading taxation works against a trader. Margin of safety is bare minimum.

Hi Raunak I am very curious on how effeciently a profit can be booked on a security. I have read 33% rule, sell 33% of positions when the security is 3% down and so on. Can this be used to book profits (like a trailing stop loss) ? or should it just be used as a stoploss practice that should be used when the initial positions are taken?

I have been following you since last 2 years. But still have few doubts 1. is self trading still worth or required when there are momentum smallcases available purely from the returns perspective. self trading gives us knowledge, discipline etc but does it give the extra returns? 2. what's your thought on smallcases vs mutual funds. 3. Is it better for someone to focus on increasing his earnings and savings rather than learning trading and put money in smallcase/mutual fund? I know that 3% higher return doubles the end capital for 25 years of compounding. But still have these silly doubts. Please clarify.

1) Ultimately this is a skill game. The greater your skills, the greater will be your returns. 2) Nothing can beat Equities. Equities managed by self once learning curve is complete. 3) Manage your money. Begin small. Make mistakes on small capital. Increase exposure as you get better.

hi Sir thanks for this awesome video. todays concept is clear but i had doubts from previous buy and hold series In the last part4 , it is clear to select the stock by sector- leader stock-entry. but in part 1 of this series what I understood is to look for stocks that are breaking out during correction. And in that I saw stocks in your list from all sectors like IT, Infra, gas, Auto, and energy. and at that time these sectors were not giving a clear indication of breakout and some sectors were below 200 MA eg. energy, realty, and IT. So correct me if I am wrong 1. So does this mean during major corrections we should focus on stocks breaking out, irrespective of what sectors are doing 2. During up move or breakout of indexes, we should focus on the BO sector and its -specific stocks in good patterns. 3. from this video i understood to look for pull back stocks specific as the sectors indexes are all rallied and priced in & other external factors
