Loving this journey! One of the coolest things about music is the unexpected positive effects it can have on you. Quick personal story related to this song: 'Blueming' was the first IU song I ever heard and it came at the perfect time for me. Not being dramatic when I say I was in a very dark and grey place in the middle of the pandemic a few years ago (even more than I realized at the time), and when I heard this song, it was like a literal light turned on and for 3 mins, 42 secs I had a joy I had kind of forgotten about (corny, but true!) It's a very bright, punchy, catchy, spring-like song with a hint of a somber side to keep it level. Like nostalgic but completely new at the same time? It's like it unlocked some neurons that had been sitting dormant in my brain or something. If/when you watch the concert live later on, I'll add a little more. But this is a special one for me 🙂

I absolutely believe that, I dont think or believe that is dramatic, I have had very similar moments. even amongst KPop on this channel, it is such an amazing feeling when that happens too, the way it tickles the brain! I will be doing a lot of live stuff here soon, especially after OWC I can see going in some new wild ways

I didn't know anything about k-pop until 2023. Of course, I heard names like BTS, listened to a couple of songs and realized that it was not mine. And then by chance KZread's algorithms suggested a clip of UI Palette and I liked it. I love her ballads the most (since I have problems sleeping, I often fall asleep to her voice) and her voice.

I'll be honest, I don't remember ever hearing about "Blueming" supposedly being connected to "YOU & I" and "Above the Time". I can see some similarities in the storytelling but it seems far-fetched to me. If she has ever said they were connected in an interview or something, I'd love to know; but if it's just a fan theory, I have to say I'm not convinced (I mean the connection between "YOU & I" and "Above the Time" was so overt; the train, the goose, the clocks and gears, the guy, the watch drawn with pen on his wrist; why would the connection with Blueming be so subtle if they were meant to be connected? also musically "Blueming" is _worlds_ apart from the other two). But to be fair I tend to watch things and draw my own conclusions and don't really tend to go out of my way to look up other people's theories or what artists may have said, so maybe I just missed something 🤷‍♀😅 Anyway I love "Blueming", incredible song 😊 Probably in my top 5 IU songs actually because it's cute and has electric guitar and it's so catchy idk what more you could want 😂 Something fun (I also noticed you laugh at this point twice maybe because of how cutely she sings it), at around 2:13 in this reaction, she sings " 흥미로운 이 작품의 지은이 that’s me 우" ("heungmiroun i jakpume jieuni THAT'S ME oo-woo"), translated as "The author of this interesting piece of work, that’s me". The part "지은이/jieuni" can be translated as "author", but IU's real first name is "Ji Eun", so "jieun-i" can mean both "author", or an affectionate way of saying IU's name 😊 Also it took me an embarrassingly long time after first hearing this song to realise the very obvious lyrics "Our colours are gray and blue" are about text messaging 😅
