I really disliked the first 16 episodes, but once the plot actually starts to progress and the structure of the show starts to make sense with the pods, I was really engaged from beginning to the end. It also has great rewatchablity. Especially when they play around with genres in the later seasons. The 80s Johnny 5 gone rogue episode, the 1930s detective noir episode, Groundhog Day episode, alien planet episode among a few. I would not be upset at all if they brought it back in some way.

John is totally wrong about Agents of Shield . The show was amazing. the character work, the twists and turns in the story and the emotion it carried were all top level. I agree with john on a lot of things but this is deffo the dumbest thing I've heard him say.

John you're crazy. Agents of S.H.I.L.D was not garbage. It was a damn good show.

Your mistake for not giving the show a chance. It got better and better as it went.

Agents of Shield was actually good, Parting Shot made me cry because you actually cared characters. I would be hype if they brought it back and payed homage to the old team.

Season 4 is one of the most impressive and entertaining seasons in sci-fi history for me. You’ve got the Ghost Rider arc, L.M.D. (Life Model Decoy), Agents of Hydra/Framework arc. Just absolutely some of the best Marvel content ever and it’s so well written.

John's opinion on AOS makes me think he's actually an LMD. 🤔

So unfair that two people who didn't like the show are doing this report. I started but never finished Ms. Marvel. You wouldn't want to hear my review of it.

The series ended with Coulson being a LMD driving Lola.

I believe he said he watched up to season 3. But once John judges a show, he sticks to his guns. Its odd to me how much he trashes AoS but he tolerated cheap trashy shows like the Arrowverse, but thats just me lol

The 4th and 5th seasons were incredible. I don't think ANYTHING in all Marvel is as good as those 2 seasons. Also, a lot of things in the cinematic universe originated on Agents of SHIELD. Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel exist because of Agents of SHIELD.

Fitz became one of my favorite characters throughout the show I’d love to see it return

AoS was meant tie-in to MCU. Infinity War was so secret, AoS had to guess where things were going & their plots got messy. Following Winter Soldier was the best season. Agent Ward revealed as Hydra was so good.

John’s take on Agents of SHIELD is consistently poor. Yeah, the first 10ish episodes weren’t great. But it hit a stride and it got better and better as it went. John just likes to hate, and he doesn’t feel bad about it.

I think most people agree the first like 6-8 episodes of season 1 are rough. Not sure why John shit talks the whole show though. Seasons 1-5 are super fucking solid.

I don't care what you say...I LOVE Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D...actually I'm rewatching it right now (just started season 5) and I'm enjoying it as much as the first time! :P

agents of shield was one of the best comic book shows. Season 4 is top peak tv.

Season 1 wasn't amazing but after Ward had his heel-turn moment with Fitz-Simmons, and that whole reveal, it got more interesting. Season 2 was better, S3 was much better, and 4-7 were really great imo. Tying in with the MCU got us the heel-turn of Ward (the actor suggested the idea after they were made aware, very late in the game, of the SHIELD twist in TWS) but other than that, I agree that the MCU crossover eps in S1/2 weren't great, but they stopped those after that (S3-5 had maybe 1 throw away line each season but were otherwise just in-universe - no direct tie ins. 6&7 are completely divorced from MCU). John and Kris saying they did it "all the time" makes me think they maybe watched the first season or two. The show gets significantly better with 3 and more so with 4-7.

Season 1 was pretty bad, but it quickly turned into one of the best tv shows airing at the time.

AoS had one of the best Final Season of TV ever. No lie. Yeah, you should be jealous

I enjoyed the final season, but it doesn’t even break top 20 best final seasons. It was rushed and chaotic. Clearly they shoe-horned in Clark Gregg to return as Coulson. The ending was kind of anti-climatic.

Agents of SHIELD first season was rocky but it contained one of the biggest and best twists that I have ever seen on tv this side of Nina Myers that I simply did not see coming. And it was consistently great from then on out! You can’t say Shield was garbage and then go on to say that Powerless was good 😂😂

A.O.S wasn't the best show, but had a handful of amazing episodes, character development, and a lot of supporters. We can have difference of opinions, but John definitely got more than a little obnoxious with the comments. Keep it tasteful chief.

Show was really fun with some troughs of sh!t but mostly peaks of awesomeness. Hoping it gets revived. I could see first season being Fury looking and recruiting those SHIELD members and intergrearing them into new team with Darcy and Jimmy Wu. By mid Season becomes Agents of SWORD.

Agents of Shield eventually became amazing. It took half a season or so but it got there in the end. That said, I'd much rather see an Agent Carter revival than an Agents of Shield one. I think there is much more left unsaid in that show than in AoS.

Don’t say it has its fans and they like it and that’s fine & people like what they like whilst also yucking on their yum by stating as if fact and without joke that it’s garbage as if u know this to be true when it is only an opinion. Do not be righteous in ur taste and opinions. A learning moment is necessary I believe. Thanks

Heh? I mean yeah, the show started off super campy and cheesy, but after season 2 (I'd say) the show took off when they were no longer shackled to world-building and character-building. Season 4 still remains one of my favorite comic book shows of all time.

I love Agents of SHIELD 🥰 Yes there were few what the heck things that doesn't align 😅 The Inhumans part was ALMOST there but did not made it (its still better than the solo Inhuman show) its tragic due to Daisy mom being the Villain 😱The one, very sad thing was Marvel Studio did not acknowledge Agents of SHIELD as a canon, Marvel Studio see them just piggy backing their success rather seeing them as expanding the MCU, like you said in the perspective of the normal people supporting the Avengers.

Season 1-2 Agents of Shield is what the MCU has missed since Endgame. The first two seasons did a really good job at grounding and integrating the… “real world” of the MCU with the larger elements. That’s also a good way to connect the disparate parts of the MCU. AoS is too far gone to renew in my opinion but something like those early seasons would be a huge W for Marvel

Even if the show doesn’t get revived, I know fans really want both Coulson and Daisy Johnson back. Remember all the rumors about her showing up in Secret Invasion? Never happened.

I liked AoS from the last third of season 1 to the end of season 4. I started getting sick of the enclosed grey corridors and the overwhelming darkness in seasons 5 and 6. Season 7 was initially a nice change of pace with the period settings but it went back to the grey halls by season end. Also, honestly Elizabeth and Iain were the acting standouts of the show. They were pretty fabulous. I missed Brett Dalton and the wildcard energy he brought from seasons 1-3.

YESSSS IM SOOOO HYPE!!!! I LOVED AGENTS OF SHIELD!!! I HOPE THIS WORKS OUT!!! The show was such a fun silly time with some interesting story arcs at times.

Don’t listen to John guys. If you haven’t watched this show, I’d highly recommend it. The 3rd and 4th seasons in particular are SO good that it’s actually kind of mind-blowing for network television. 👌

This show would be the perfect catalyst for introducing new characters. They shld bring it back and make it canon. They were handcuffed as where now they wouldn’t be.

Man, I loved Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Admittedly, I couldn't get into the last few seasons but, overall it was a very fun show. I would adore Marvel if they brought back Daisy.

Agents of Shield is one of my favourite shows, I love it as much as Netflix Daredevil it was so darn good (just my opinion) so if they do revive it I would be over the moon happy.

Long term fan and while I disagree that AOS sucks, I respect that Campea holds his opinions strongly. Better than someone who flip flops based on what public opinion sways.

The best Marvel show (next to Daredevil)and one of the best comic book shows of all time and is so underrated.

Honestly, Ms Marvel was pretty amazing. It offered something genuinely fresh and different to the comic book movie/tv landscape, it was very well realised with likeable characters and lots of charm. The only real negative was the bland villains for me. But to each their own.

Why? It was an episodic TV show. It's something that can be updated and made for streaming without much of an impact to the movies. Instead of forcing movie characters into streaming bring back a network TV show to the Disney+ service as exclusive content. It's actually really smart if one puts their bias aside.

Agents of Shield was AMAZING for the most part! The start was terrible, yes. And at the end it became repetitive.

I’m just surprised that Feige even wants to consider looking back on that show. I was a fan back in the day, definitely like that it found its footing sometime after the first season. The decision leaves me a little skeptical, but if I can see more Chloe Bennett, then I won’t be complaining.

Totally disagree…I had fun watching it. Not sure why re-visit it, though. It ended as a finale.

Agents of Shield is easily one of the best things Marvel has put out in the last 10 years is John insane lol Seaon 4 to me competes easily with Daredevil as a series. Yeah not ALL of Agents of Shield is at that quality, sure. But man what a fun show, and it leaned into its camp. Season 1 is rough, and I only stuck with it because Marvel was at its peak and I was obsessed, but once Winter Soldier hit, the way that movie affected the show was so cool to experience in real time. And after that it was great all the way up until season 6. Season 6 was a bit wonky. 7 was better but also was wonky with some of the guest characters and villains. But the cast makes it all worth it. I was so sad when it ended, and I'm so surprised and happy to see that it might return 🥹🥹🥹 screw John on this one 😆 jk but yeah AoS gained such a fervent fandom and it's not from nothing.

I always wonder if Campea even actually watched A.O.S. That show was so good. Season 1 was a bit slow but Season 2 on, that show was great.

I love Agents of Shield. It was better than The Marvels, better than Morbius, better the Inhumans show. Yeah, it had its qwerks and the later seasons were definitely out there. But, for the kind of story they were trying to tell, I believe it was done well. Was it great, maybe not, but it was good enough to keep me watching because of the characters, not just the story.

Agents of Shield had its hits and misses but it has a place in my heart since I watched it Day 1 as a kid. First few seasons was pretty good. Loved Skye's journey as Quake especially. But it went off the rails after that unfortunately. However, their version of Robbie Reyes' Ghost Rider was freaking AWESOME! And I wish is solo show actually happened instead of that piece of garbage known as Helstrom lmao

Wait... You hated Agents of SHIELD heralded as one of the best superhero TV show next to Daredevil but you loved POWERLESS!?!? There's a reason why that shit show didn't last a season! It was PAINFUL. Powerless was the failed example that killed the "Damage Control" TV series. It was 5 times worse than Sony's Powers which was an early "the Boys" . Bob Iger knows that AoS was amazing and has a huge fanbase . AoS was amazing. Season 4-6 was some of the absolute best superhero TV ever made. Storyline topics and characters like LMDs, Ghost Rider, the Darkhold, Inhumans, What If, Madame Hydra, Deathlok, Graviton, the Kree, time travel using the quantum realm, SHIELD history, Absorbing Man, Hydra and the Howling Commandos... Even the Watchdogs were basically the Friends Of Humanity from X-Men the animated series. It was copied by the CW ad nauseum (Supergirl with Argus) You really should have watched the entire series

I actually think Powers was ahead of it's time and could work now that The Boys has started the whole "deconstruction" of super heroes thing. The comic books were amazing and very adult. It might have done better on FX where it was originally supposed to air.

I loved the show, and it's one of my top 3 favorite TV shows of all time, but those last 2-3 seasons were absolutely horrible.

I LOVE Agents of Shield. The beginning was dope n tied into the mcu. Then it was ok. I was hooked then they switched channels but i picked it back up n i loved the future past story. It did get cheesy n drama relationship filled. But i think if Marvel did bring it back use some of the characters but use it to bring in new ppl

Marvels TV output at the time was great. Besides, shows like Cloak and Dagger or Inhumans(nobody watched) they had better output than DC animation and TV imo.

Mutants? They were inhuman’s in the comics and the show. Their characters and story lines are totally different.

What show did Kris watch? Daisy was an inhuman and they called her that in the show!

They used the Inhumans because they couldn't use Mutants in the MCU, that's what she was saying, Inhumans were a stand-in for Mutants within the MCU at the time.

I wasn’t a big fan of AOS, but I liked it more than John. John goes so comically hard on it that I am remembering what I really liked about it more than what I disliked, and find myself looking forward to the potential of a reboot.

John, you need to give Agents of Shield another rewatch. I mean that wholeheartedly. It is so much better than most of the MCU content out there. I know your opinion is your opinion, but you're wrong.

@@johncampea It's the Marvel show with the BEST rated and highest audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and second best Tomatometer (after Ms. Marvel), including all the Netflix and Disney Plus shows. It's literally the top two of the 35 +/- Marvel shows. Also, it was very inhuman heavy despite people making the mutant comparison because of the heavy focus of Attilan (the Afterlife) and the Kree connection to everything. You can say you're not wrong because you have a keyboard and a KZread account.

John, you seriously didn't like season 2/3 of the show? Especially when they intertwined with the movies, Winter Soldier to be exact.

It wasn’t a horrible show in fact I know a hell of a lot of people who liked it and for it to last as long as it did there had to be enough people who liked it as much as I did.

As far as Clark Gregg returning as Coulson it's possible, Coulson officially perma-died at the end of Season 5, however Season 7 has an LMD of Coulson throughout that Season (after Season 6 had an extradimesional being using Coulson's form), so the Coulson LMD could still be around since its only been a few years since the ending of AoS in-Universe as it ends near the end of the Blip I believe in like 2021 or 2022 or something since the last few episodes of Season 5 take place during Infinity War and it goes like a few years beyond Infinity War. I do think they'll do the Agents of Shield project that was talked about, and I think it'll be a continuation of the series like how Born Again is a continuation of Daredevil. I think the series will follow where the AoS characters have been since the Blip and and like has been happening with the Daredevil characters and such having the characters show up and interact with the other characters, especially since Fantastic Four could have an opportunity to bring back the Inhumans depending on the villain and such (namely Medusa of the Inhumans being part of the Frightful Four) and stuff like that.

You are bugging John lol when hydra took over In season 2 that’s when it got really good. I skipped the first season bcuz it was boring but glad I did pick it back up. Give it a chance you might like it 👀(ghost rider was 🔥)

3:20 you have to ask why? Because its proved itself to be a successful show with multiple seasons that has potential to get even bigger? That sounds a lot less risky than another season of She-Hulk. You have to look at what everyone likes, not just what you like, John. We’re talking about a Marvel show that has over 80% across all 7 seasons on RT… the Disney+ shows can only DREAM of having 7 seasons.

I liked Agents Of Shield.

John has to remember it was a network show, not a prestige/cable show. It had some amazing seasons. But like all things that get dragged out due to popularity, it jumped the shark a few times. I did think they finished strong.

I think Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D revival on Disney+ where there can be more meaningful connections to the MCU would be a great idea. If Marvel are going to be more selective in what shows they greenlight, I think greenlighting a revival of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D wouldn't be a bad start.
