Martial Arts Instructor Reacts: Naruto Shippuden - Kakashi vs Obito
Twelve years before the start of the series, the Nine-Tails attacked Konohagakure, destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The leader of the village, the Fourth Hokage sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Naruto Uzumaki. Orphaned by the attack, Naruto was shunned by the villagers, who out of fear and anger, viewed him as the Nine-Tails itself. Though the Third Hokage outlawed speaking about anything related to the Nine-Tails, the children - taking their cues from their parents - inherited the same animosity towards Naruto. In his thirst to be acknowledged, Naruto vowed he would one day become the greatest Hokage the village had ever seen.

Hey guys! While I loved this fight there weren't many techniques used for me to break down for you unfortunately. I did my best to discuss the concepts used (which are very realistic) however the techniques tend to lean towards the anime side of things a lot of the time! That being said it's a great anime and a great fight so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This. This is why I love Kakashi so much. He's a badass, hardcore fighter who does everything he has to to protect those he loves, even if it means destroying someone he used to care about.

@@diamonx.661 they were talking abt when madara first faces down the entire shinobi alliance and destroys them solely with taijutsu which is just martial arts, the aforementioned clip stops before madara starts using jutsu
For me, because all the taijutsu involved and the clean animation, the greatest fight scenes are: - Sakura and Chiyo vs. Sasori - Killer Bee vs. Sasuke and Taka - Sakura vs. Shin Uchiha - Naruto and Sasuke vs. Momoshiki - Gai vs. Madara - Lee vs. Gaara - All with Kakashi in the screen Naruto have plenty of nice figths scenes, it's crazy to choose a few, but as I said, taijutsu is the best for me to see. Pierrot did a great job with all of that :D

2:17 I will remember those few seconds forever. That is one of the most genius moments of cinematic history, period. This is the definition of how to do "don't tell me, show me". Obito pulling back his child self to show that he's no longer that child, thrusting him into a strike against his old friend. My god
Obito actually did let Kakashi strike his heart in order to break the seal that Madara placed on it. It was part of his plan to betray Madara and steal his Infinite Tsukuyomi plot.

He even tested this in genjutsu fight before the real, he really needed that Raikiri.
You should watch the full thing with all the flashbacks included. It doesn't really provide any additions from a martial arts perspective, but this is one of the most thematic fights in the series and it shines through when you see them fighting between the current time and the flashbacks.

What this fight does really, really well, as you mentioned, is, that barely any hits fully land. Many anime like to do the thing where a fight is decided by who ends up being more exhausted after being clobbered with multiple strong hits and it downplays the moments when a move does hit. But this fight ended with the first full hit of a powerful attack, which was the Chidori. Any hits that landed previously either only grazed the target or were more of a way to create distance or a window of opportunity than a hit meant to end the battle. I like how this represents the actual disposition of Ninjas in that they are mainly assassins with techniques perfected to kill and that this gives every move a sense of danger rather than it just being a visual spectacle.

Naruto is definitely one of the best anime from back in the day, so much emotion and so much history. The fight scenes had lots of meaning behind them
It would be nice to hear more technical talk about movement, mindset or even particular strikes. It would be somewhat inspiring and educational in a way.
oh so glad to see you like anime! there are PLENTY of amazing fight scenes in this genre that you will never see anywhere else
With their history, that fight was the heaviest of the whole show. As someone who used to talk through fist, it hits the heart.

The lore behind the Lighting Blade is it wasn't perfected until after the Obito sacrificed himself to protect Kakashi and Rin. Before receiving Obito's sharingan eye the lighting blade was rendered almost inert and deemed by their sensei Minato to be too much of a risk for Kakashi. As it made Kakashi pre Sharingan run far too fast to react to anything while utilizing the lighting blade. The key in the hole with the lighting blade is the sharingan it allows the user to react in advance and predict the enemies incoming hit. As well copying other jutsu if the user is skilled enough. However the main thing for Kakashi and for Sasuke is their key ability to use Lighting blade/Chidori to its limit. Turning the lighting element to their advantage and boosting both strength and speed. Producing a jutsu that easily meets the requirements for an A class highly dangerous jab style jutsu with scary levels of damage mostly meant for assasination. For Kakashi lore wise however the lighting blade made Kakashi a legend among even the 3rd and 4th Hokage. As during a lighting storm Kakashi went so far as to cut a lighting bolt supposedly post getting his sharingan implant. It allowed Kakashi to be able not only to see but also react to a lighting bolt that was meant to hit the village. Kakshi as a Jonin and Ambu as the lore goes cut a lighting bolt and protected the village. Easily a kage level feat. Particularly when you consider the power and weight behind utilizing nature energy in Naruto.

When Kakashi uses the Chidori, it's called the Raikiri, the Lightning Cutter. Supposedly in his backstory he used it to split a lightning bolt one time.

One of the most interesting parts of the Naruto anime for me is how they handled important fights like this. You can definitely find some fights in the series that are not animated well. Probably even worse than the issues you're talking about with Dragonball. The reason that's noteworthy is because they know they can't possibly try to make everything look super good, so they focus their budget and time on these very important fights. Sasuke vs Orochimaru in the Forest of Death, Rock Lee vs Gaara in the chuunin exams prelims, Sasuke vs Naruto at the Valley of the End (multiple times), Sakura and Chiyo vs Sasori... The list goes on. I think the Naruto anime really pioneered new ways to handle anime. There were shifts in quality in other anime, but it was never deliberately planned that way. Different studios and animators would be working on various episodes simultaneously on the same budget and schedule. The quality variations were only there because of the different studios handling clusters of episodes. Naruto felt like the first anime to actually analyze the story of the material they were adapting so they could plan ahead. Not only that, but they were also one of the first anime to use 3D backgrounds which is what allows them to do those scenes where the camera is spinning around the characters like at the very beginning of this fight itself. The first fight in the series to use this I believe was Rock Lee and Gaara's fight. So just very top notch quality in terms of making the fight look realistic, energetic, emotional, and fantastical all at the same time. I love seeing how well they animated the follow throughs on some of these hits as well. When Kakashi gets slammed into the wall, his head bounces off of it in a way that looks almost TOO real. I heard you wince at that part, and I do myself every time I see it.

Random but obito let kakashi win this fight
I never realized how good this animation was until this guy pointed it out
It’s a short fight as far as anime goes but the last fight in Gurren Lagann with Simon vs The Antispiral is pretty impactful
With the music in that fight you know that no matter who comes out on top, they both have already lost because they got to this point. So intense
Super sad moment in anime… really pulls at the heart strings
this was an epic battle indeed
Naruto Shippuden's fight scenes are really good...when they want to. When it's not, it shows. My god it shows.
This is one of the best fights in Naruto
So did you just watch this edited version of this fight or the whole thing bc they cut a lot of stuff out that made this scene so much more better. If you want to watch the whole thing I believe it's episode 475 in the Shipuudden series. Also please do Madara versus Shinobi Alliance; It's episode 321 I believe.
This show touches ur heart ❤ period!

Naruto fight scenes are just always so amazing! The detail put into them is incredible! I'd actually love to see a reaction to the fight between Kawaki and Garou in 'Boruto'. THAT was some clean animation and it was insane seeing Kawaki's skill! It's not full-on taijutsu, but there are some crazy cool moves on Kawaki's part when he does get into it. Not an easy target to hit, that's for sure.
Oh! Achilles vs chiron from fate grand oder! I love that fight!

The chidori is also the last jutsu we see in that was the old style of Naruto before we deal with the one tail, giant summons, necromancy and all that takes jutsu being a compliment to the fight instead of the deciding factor.

You should do the classic naruto v sasuke. Its old but u can see the moves clearly and they show the most emotion during the fight.
This was my favorite Naruto fight.
The reasom Obito said he is letting Kakashi win is because he did. The reason he did that is because he had a seal on his heart which could only be disarmed this way, and he wanted Kakashi to be the one to did it to remind him of the way he killed Rin, which was by piercing her heart which Obito witnessed.

Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple has great fights
The cliff notes of it is Kakashi learned to value his friends and teammates more than completing missions from Obito and gained his Sharingan from him when they thought Obito was going to die; he survived but Kakashi and the rest never learned of this. Obito basically lost his shit and joined the villain upon witnessing Kakashi kill the woman he loved; it wasn't Kakashi's fault but Obito did not know the details.
