    Funny thing about JJK is, if memory serves, they actually made up a canonical explanation for why they do that normally quite nonsensical "this is how my technique works" speech. You place a "binding vow" upon yourself, basically putting yourself in more danger by exposing the secrets of your techniques, yet the more in detail you explain them the more power you can obtain. In other words, Todo had basically no reason to confirm Hanami's assumption about boogie woogie, but he did it anyway to juice himself up.

    That's something the mangaka grabbed from HxH since he stated that was one of his biggest inspirations at some point. You can place limits and vows and etc on your abilities to power them up. For example the main character shouting out the name of his attack and having a big wind up while announcing it gives it absurd power but makes it super easy to see coming but he's a goku like genius and tricks people around that fact. You can basically make any ability you like and the more creative you are with it the vow and limitation the more powerful you can be. But you can make even non combat abilities. For example I thought of a nen ability for a chef that doesn't want to fight anyone and his limit is he can ONLY use nen in his restaurant and he can infuse food with flavor or healing properties but that would make his food just godlike in flavor and health and whatever else he wanted because not only is he limited to a location if the restaurant burnt down or something he would NEVER be able to use special abilities again and lose it all. You could do the same thing but be a guard for a location and say you can only use abilities HERE and only to protect this location. Or just say I can only use my abilities once a year for ten minutes and be a god for those ten minutes. The abilities in this series are very very reminiscent of Hunter x Hunter stuff definitely check it out if you like this anime.

  • @Ghostly_One1

    @Ghostly_One1

    At least cursed energy has limits, unlike nen which just became an excuse for pretty much anything whatsoever at this point.

  • @Pragabond

    @Pragabond

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Ghostly_One1 Nen very much so has limits. Any ability is reasonable in power and drawbacks or comes with creative limits or vows. No idea where you're getting it having no limits other than only being limited by creativity and application. Someone literally has the ability to warp your soul itself which is something you nearly can't defend against and that abiliy was just handed to them that's more insane than anything I've seen in HxH. I love both series dearly because not every power NEEDS to be balanced depending on the context and story but this is a weird ass take, dude.

    This duo dinamic was invented by Dragon ball z [ Goku and Vegeta ] .And very few shounen series manage to get it right.Naruto tried it, Bleach tried it...but was never on the same lvl as dbz.Jujutsu Kaisen is the only one that got close to the original.

    @@BurridgeMartialArts604 oof, There are I believe 145 eps to the show, absolutely the show espouses the results of effort and hard work. Truthfully any Asta episode (as he is a physical combatant in a world of magic) would be up your alley. Also his squad are oddballs and have their own spotlights.

    Fights in that anime are really low tier tho. They're not awful, but they almost may as well not exist. They just barely suffice.

    To put into context, Gojo Satoru is not JUST the strongest character in the show, he is the strongest chracter in the show history. Past and present! That's what makes him so op in universe. Since there are a lot of clans with techniques that have been passed down for hundreds of years. And if you put all these clans and even the curses together they still would be no match against gojo.
