It's my favorite scene in the show cuz it hits you so hard. Him realizing his own student killed him, his wife, and was the reason naruto even exists as he is today is crazy.

A great direction

Crazy to think that the 2nd half of the episode was just Obito clinging onto life, while simultaneously fighting for control over his own body to counter the Rinne-rebirth jutsu, while also performing a sealing jutsu to turn himself into the 10-Tails jinchuriki... all without even having a heart in his body. Hashirama cells are truly undefeated.

13:47 That scene hit me so hard. Obito still secretly loves his senses and secretly wishes to be saved. And Inlove how the animators drew Minato’s face perfectly, he looks distressed, shock, sad, & scared when he realizes Obito was the masked man. 😭

I’m just realizing how awesome of a red herring it was to have Obito’s hair turn white. We all think it’s because of the Rinne Rebirth, but it’s actually because he’s becoming the Ten-Tails jinchuriki.

What i like the most about naruto is how Kakashi is able to stay relevant the whole history/plot

Yup, i stopped watching shippuden for awhile came back and was really suprised how revelent kakashi actually was to the rest of the story.

Obito vs. Kakashi is hands down one of the deepest fights in the anime, and I can't get enough of it. They really did a good job animating this so well from the manga.

one of the single best episodes of anything ever, to this day it still immerses me like nothing else ever did

Obito intentionally lured Kakashi into the Kamui dimension to have a fight... to be away from where Madara is. Having both Rinnegan and Mangekyou it was very easy for Obito to evade Kakashi's lightning blade... but being stabbed by Kakashi through the heart was his plan and he needed to be away from Madara for that to happen Just wanted to make that clear bcoz alot of ppl think that Kakashi actually won that fight or was equal to Obito in strength 😂

Remember that Obito was once one of the worst of his class. Here, you see he was actually just a late bloomer.

U will know why obito doesnt use rinnegan when fight with kakashi

Brilliant addition that. I loved the symbolism of pulling your younger self back, not making peace, and just going in for the kill even if you die. I know the flashback/current fight is reused in the end and it's amazing, but I really wish they would of rehashed that scene with Sasuke pulling himself back as well to show him and Obito, both traitors, are basically the same, and since Obito is just an older Naruto, that means Sasuke is just the reflection of what Naruto could of become

I love how cocky Moderat is and thinks he had obito in control the whole time but in reality obito never trusted his ass and was planning to betray him from the start

The sequence from 11:56 to 14:09 is one of the most intense and emotional scenes of shippuden and I think it's so underrated. Everyone trying to stop Obito and Minato first time realizing, knowing and seeing that the man behind the mask who attacked his village and killed kushina is his student, Obito. The flashback to the conversation of minato and obito and the transition to the present where minato slashed him with kunai as obito says "sensei" is sooo hearbreaking. And lastly, the legendary line to sasuke when obito first time seeing sasuke again in which I think people overlooked a bit, "What makes you think that the war is over, my fellow traitor?". Fvkin badass.

Obito scream is one of the best things Ive ever seen in anime universe either in English dub or Japanesse dub

watching this same fight for probably the 20th time will always be the same as the 1st. Pure hand to hand, emotions, minato's dispair and the ending is so "word beyond perfect".

This Legendary Fight is one of the best in all Anime... Kakashi & Obito fighting in the Past & now in the Present...for the Future of their World.

Kakashi vs Obito is, in my opinion, the best fight of Naruto, especially if you think of the entire context of the fight and their backstories, as well as the perfect soundtracks to accompany the fight. Despite being short, the taijutsu is pure badassery, with amazing cinematography displaying the parallel imagery of "then" and "now", all without being over-the-top. Obito pushing away his past self, accompanied by the very fitting "Tragic" OST, just confirms it.

this fight is fucking amazing, and all the story behind the battle... for me it's the perfect fight a anime could do. It's amazing to see, but also isn't fight just for fun. It's a battle between two ideologys, and two best friends who, for circunstanses of life, end in the opposite position of the other what makes them try to kill each other to reach the "peace" they believe.

Hashirama can't go all out as a reanimation because as reanimations even though chakra replenishes and doesn't run out, their total chakra is lower than when they are alive. Just in case anyone was wondering why Hashirama didn't body ten tails with 1000 armed veritable kanon. He actually could have because armored 100% nine tails is pretty much as powerful as the incomplete 10 tails

So. Those scale parts in Obito Rikodu mode are kind of limited to his Zetzu parts. Maybe it has to do something with Zetzu cells.

You do now that Obito on purpose made Kakashi pierce is heart so he could become the ten tails jinchuriki. Madara had a cursed seal tag placed on Obito's heart.

kakashi vs obito fight scene just feels sad and cool at the same time..

Kakashi vs obito is easily best 1v1 hand to hand fight. It has pure hand to hand combat, cutting scenes between past and present,obito using Kakashi's hand to peform fireball jutsu, obito pulling back his past self... So much greatness in one fight. Kakashi vs obito would be the only instance where anime was like 100x better than the manga.

All you have to do is watch people who've never seen Naruto before, some never watched any anime before, react to this fight. Most of them understand the backstory and history between Kakashi and Obito and get emotional in the fight without any context at all. It really is just a piece of gorgeous story-telling, every detail visually and audibly perfect for its place and infinitely better than a "bigger" fight without the depth.

For me it hits even harder when you realize that obito could have beaten kakashi zero difficulty, but he chose to get stabbed through his chest like rin was so that he could become the 10 tails

Idk about zero difficulty lol. It certainly doesn’t seem like Obito can phase through objects while his whole body is in that dimension. But yeah Obito could have eventually won in the end.

My favourite part of this episode is actually not the fight between Obito and Kakashi but the part where Sasuke refuses to put the fire out and important players notice it. When Sai confronts Sakura on Sasuke's true intentions, the direction in combination with the music there feels so incredibly heavy. But sadly it is not as good in the english dub, I definitely prefer the japanese there.
