Naruto himself was dead set on bringing Sasuke back before he had an inkling of an idea about the reincarnation cycle or even before Pain got him thinking about the cycle of hatred in that sort of way. Their relationship from childhood to the present in their last fight had emphasis put on it because Sasuke's importance to Naruto and his significance in his life goes beyond acting as an obstacle for him to overcome, or as someone who perpetuates the cycle of violence, or as an inheritor of Indra's will. Not saying this to imply that there are any real romantic implications, only that he says "How can I become Hokage if I can't save a single friend" like 3 or 4 times for a reason. He cares about Sasuke and values him as an individual, not just about what stopping him without killing him could mean for the world of shinobi at large.

You asked what the black fire is and what exactly Sasuke is in the final battle, so I'll explain in case you didn't get to look into it. So you get that his eyes evolve into another form, which is called the Mangekyo Sharingan. The black fire, as well as the ability to reshape it into the spikes you saw are a product of both his Mangekyo Sharingan. Every Uchiha upon awakening the Mangekyo obtains one ability for each eye. In one of Sasuke's eyes, he can manifest the black flames, or Amaterasu. And with the other eye, he uses Flame Control: Kagutsuchi. (Also known as Blaze Release because it's a more powerful fire than regular Fire Release) But once an Uchiha awakens both Mangekyo techniques, they can awaken Susanoo, which is not tied to either eye like the previous two techniques, weirdly enough. Susanoo is more tied to the soul of the Uchiha is how I look at it. You could lose both eyes and still have full control over Susanoo. Anyway, it's basically an ethereal chakra giant. Once awakened, it starts as a ribcage and then becomes a whole skeleton. And eventually, it evolves a few times which is why it was smaller and had no legs at first, then turned into a giant. Lol. Hopefully that helped clarify some.

I think the reason why Sasuke used Naruto's hand for his technique because if he does the sign on his own, the technique consumes only his own inner energy (chakra). If he makes it using Naruto's hand, Naruto'd shares half the energy burden

the hand signs in naruto are just used as a way to control chakra easier you will see occaisonally characters not using any hand signs for jutsu

You should watch the entire anime. If you do you'll regret watching more fights

Well, props for being a real non-anime fan.

As for the last fight, yeah. Most normal people would have given up on Sasuke after all of the awful things he'd done. Most people would have just stopped trying because he's "toxic" and unwilling to change. But the point is that that's not Naruto. He doesn't give up on people he truly cares about, and he doesn't give up on Sasuke. He doesn't give up on trying to understand him, because he's the only one who can. No one else was willing to try to understand Sasuke when he was at his worst; a traumatized kid who lost everything way too young and was forced to grow up festering in hatred with only vengeance and a future of terrible lonliness to drive him forward. But Naruto always held out hope for Sasuke, and was even willing to throw away all of his own goals and dreams to die with him if that was what it took. It was for that reason that he was the only one who was able to reach Sasuke in the end. Because what Sasuke needed most of all was someone who could understand him.

Sasuke looked like he wanted to kiss Naruto because, well, it's basically true. They are extremely in love tbh, that's the whole plot of Naruto

Most of the major fights in Shippuden are great, without spoilers some highlights are Sasuke v. Daedara, Naruto v. Pain, Undead Madara v. Everyone, Kakashi v. Spoiler, Itachi v. Sasuke (also the Kabuto fight), and Guy's team's fight against Kakuzu including Naruto's appearance. The training arcs are really good too, Naruto being powerful but low key stupid makes them interesting

I adore the last fight, I still go back and watch the episodes leading up to it a few years later. But anyone who decides to post a video on youtube of the "whole" fight then cut it up so much they miss dialogue and some slow parts just ruins it. Well I don't think so If you are thinking about the last part of the fight when they only fight with their first, well I do think THAT is the most impactful scene When in all other fights scenes we've seen fighters fight until one of them was dead of down rather quickly, here the fight almost took a whole day and used ALL the energy they had This fight contains all the emotion between Naruto and Sasuke, this fight is the only way for Naruto to bring back Sasuke and this fight is the last opportunity for Sasuke to finally destroy this link and they both knew it They were all alone (except for Kakashi and Sakura but who was gonna stop them ?) and nobody was there to stop them fighting, no reason to stop the fight. And I think Naruto Shippuden managed to show us how similar Sasuke and Naruto were in fact, two little boys that life had unjustly taken their family from them and thus friends The difference is that Naruto seeked to make friends and understand them and create links While Sasuke didn't want at first links (because of not wanting to follow Itachi's Order) and later having one with Naruto only willing to destroy it. If Naruto and Sasuke changed place I think the story might have changed in some way but would've mostly been the same, due to their similarities
