Thats very late to be eating. Do you watch your blood sugar levels, I would recommend you get a blood glucose/glucometer mate and also get a insulin resistance test for a baseline. Prednisone is afterall a Glucocorticoid and it will give you raised insulin resistance or give you mellitus (in the long run). Did the docs also explain to you that your adrenals are impaired while on prednisone? Meaning cortisol/anti-stress hormone is affected as well as sugar control. The Mycophenalate and Tacrolimus is interesting because that is taken with food in NZ, the effectiveness of it with or without food is of no concern.

It's great you only have to take two. I do think I'm going to start asking my doctors about the others.

Can you please tell me how this was achieved, were you on a RDP and how much Mycophenalate and Tacrolimus do you take? i expect Tac might be 3 mg and Mycophenalate, 1 250mg?

How do you only take 2 tablets, 3 are usually minimum requirement. Those include Prednisone, Mycophenalate and Tacrolimus. Were you part of Rapid Discontinuation of Prednisone (RDP) program?

mine has changed a lot of the years. They increase when things aren't going so well. Overall I'd say im taking less now compared to when I had my transplant.

  • @TransplantFitness

Yes still taking that. That's a mixture of 7/8 different medicines but some I need multiple tablets for. The picture in my thumbnail for the video is literally what I take every week

@@TransplantFitness From when did you start taking it? Is it immediately after transplant i.e., from Day 1 or after week 1 from home? I can only take tablets while standing, and you mentioned that for first 3 days you were sleeping all day long in bed!!

  • @TransplantFitness

Yes I had to take these tablets right after my transplant day 1. I was able to get out of bed once a day to sit on a chair so you will be able to stand to take your meds if you need to mate 👍🏽
