Yes, I just visited doctor today, I was place on predniserlone. Doctor told me to take the doses recommend by him after three day reduce the amount by half, rally it's for anti inflammatory. So your video is on point. Great job.

I have crohns too and been putting off taking this drug. Within the 7 years I've had this I've recovered without it however I may go on it for the body inflammation. What's your experience been like?

I just start taking prednislone tablets 5mg 6 each day 18 single tablet each if i finish the prednislone and my health not recovery yet request what shall do i need help

Wow, using cortison for 3 years is so long :/ I only use it for 10-14 days at a time around for around 2 times a year..I have RA and trying to take an holistic approach. But it’s so hard to get used to pain..

For the first time I'm seeing this video n it because I decided to Google the tablets the Doctor give me yesterday ,I used it once n added lots of weight to my body I'm scared .I did experience mood swings n I'm much to tired to go for my exercise wow , I dont need any of those

Im on it for four days 2 pills to stop my rash its working fast ...no side effects, my infection isnt that bad just a rash.Gets better heals fast

Hi! I think the side effects are the same no matter what condition you have. Just keep trying to eat right and go for walks when you can

I've used Prednisolone on and off for the last eight years when my asthma flairs up and my puffers don't work as well.Usually 50mg per day for a week then when day the next few days afterwards but the crash after they wear off,I feel like a truck hit me.Usually gets better after a few days.

I have a autoimmune disease and wasn't using predisolone but at the back end of last year the medicines were not doing the job and i went into a crisis. I was put on prednisolone and am up to 60 mg daily It is hard - I feel like my engine is running but the vehicle is in neutral all the time. Fortunately (unfortunately) my disease affects muscles so I was having problems chewing and swallowing and had not been able to eat as much as I should have I was underweight by about 10 kg when I was admitted to hospital So I need to put some weight on.

I am eating a whole food plant based diet and fortunately don't have any snack foods in the house but eat a lot of fruit. BTW I am also a diabetic and my blood sugar is all over the shop normal in the morning okay to high at lunch alarming at dinner time (when I now have to inject insulin - which is the first time in 24 years) and it calms down over night

dandgerous to stop? it will be ok if i need to use only 5 days prednisolone 5mg six pills as a single dose? its 30mg per day 5 days.

Yeah if you're taking a high does you have to take your time to stop and slowly reduce how mu h you're taking. I was taking 30mg (one 20mg tablet and two 5mg tablets) if you're taking 30mg ask your doctor for 20mg tablets so you don't have to take 6 little tablets. Hope you're OK?

Neville if you press in the top right of your screen where the three vertical dots are you get options, choose PLAYBACK SPEED, you will be on NORMAL, if you choose any above this the video will play at a slower speed, Good lucky

I’ve just went from 74.6kg to 79.8kg in 5 days 😂 I cannot stop eating, literally constantly and mood swings or very extreme happiness. This is why I’ve refused them for the past few years after I had to take them 2012-2015 for crohns and colitis I had tried many different steroids but only real help was in hospital on IV steroid drip and then 2017 resection surgery intestinal infection bleed. 2017-2021 on no steroids and just biologics infusion infliximab therapy every 6 weeks as a inpatient at hospital, then that stopped working as my body slowly built up anti bodies to the therapy’s treatment. Then I’ve had the past 6 months very unwell in a massive flare up and recently hospitalised because of a inflammation intestinal infection. On 50mg of prednisone for 4 weeks then reducing / tapering down 5mg every 10 days. And from the iv steroids during my latest admission as a inpatient for 3 weeks I have now got a fungal throat and chest infection so I am taking a course of strong anti biotics at the same time but only 4 week course.

I hurt my eye 4 days ago but there is no pain now and the doctor put me on this should I take it or not ?

yes i think you should listen to your doctor and take it. It helps with tissue damage under the skin and there doesn't have to be pain to take it.

I am about to have "Chemo", the Dr. wants me toke 2 pills(50mg each) a day, that’s too much I think. What do you think?

For chemo i think its a good amount, after chemo you will eat close to nothing and puke all the time. You will be extremely fattigued.

Thank-you for that info, was about to throw in the towel on day four but after listening to you I will persevere, I am on a 8wk course, please mention if you get constipated on this, because this also is a side effect including palpitations, not to mention the headaches 😖

I'm taking prednisolone 3rd week now because of my Sarcoidosis. My energy level went through the roof since I started taking those pills. Focus 200%. No cough, no pain, life is fantastic! Side effects: palpitations from time to time. And maybe I'm more aggressive now. But this pills for me are like in this movie Limitless. I'm doing lots of stuff now!!!

Never heard of Prednisolone before. I had a kidney transplant when I was two, so I was Prednisone almost my entire life. I wonder why you will be able to stop taking Prednisolone then? My prednisone stopped recently as I am now on dialysis.

Im 15 and I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease about a month or two ago, and since I’ve been on prednisolone. The dosage started at 40mg and decreased by 5mg every 7 days but recently they’ve put me on 50mg dapsone and 60mg prednisolone (decreasing by 5mg every 5 days) and I’m currently on 45mg. I’ve noticed quite a lot of muscle gain without exercise and I’ve noticed slight weight gain (maybe 3-4kg in the past 2 months) but I’ve been eating like crazy 😂 I’ve been told some pills I’m on make my metabolism faster so I’m quite happy I’ve not been gaining too much and I’m starting to go gym to start working on myself whilst the symptoms of my disease are subsided

If you think you've got blood in your urine I'd definitely tell your consultant. Maybe even try to keep a sample to show them. And I'd recommend drinking water all throughout the day. Try getting to at least 3L. I hope your feel better soon! 🤗

Hey guys! I started prednisone 10mg 11 tablets a day then reduced 10 mg a day. I gained weight fast and I had moon face. The best way to combat this I think, is to go straight veggies and fruit. I’ll let you guys know the update. I have an autoimmune disorder just diagnosed

My tips if taking this PREDNISOLONE: Eat a good diet : Do not eat JUNK FOODs Do not eat fast foods Do not eat processed foods Do not eat frozen foods Do not eat pre-packaged foods Do not drink Alcohol Do not smoke Do not eat red meat Do not drink any tea or coffee or any sodas ONLY DRINK WATER , 1L per day Do not use salt in cooking , max 1200mg ( 1.5g max ) salt in the foods you eat ,when cooking DO NOT USE any salt. Do not use ANY sugar in foods ,if you want sugar on cereal only use raw organic acacia honey Cut all dairy products , only okay is EGG WHITE boiled. Do not eat fried or BBQ oily foods. One can eat little chicken only cook boiled , also one can eat some vegetables all cooked no raw veg. Also eat apples , pears , pomegranate , papaya , don't eat citrus fruits or juices. Do not eat high fat foods. Also walk for 30mins per day. If you follow above you won't get MOON FACE or serious side effects like weight gain or high blood pressure. Eat white rice 🍚 basmati rice will help in sleeping if you have insomnia side effects , eat last meal 2-3 hours before bedtime , go bed from 10pm to 10.59pm do not go bed late Good luck

@@SBG2013 eat any thing ,but no junk foods like cakes biscuits and crap , protein, vegetable, salad and drink only water no alcohol or sodas ,you can drink coffee or tea only 1/2 a day , no coffee in evenings .

Do not eat any salt in foods ( if salt in natural foods , don't take more than 1500mg ( 1.5g ) in the foods that you buy , do not use ANY salt in cooking , also do not use ANY sugar in any foods , do not have high fat foods.

How you manage steroid side effects on thining skin ? And your ANA is negative or positive ? What collogen supplement how much what cream should use ? From how long you use steroid prednisone?

I've been on the steroids for 6 months now and will be on them until next year. The prednisolone does make my skin spotty but I haven't got a skin care routine yet. I'm not sure what ANA is maybe you could explain?

ANA test if it is negative, that means you have not lupus. I think you should meet dermatologist to save your skin. You can take collogen and vitamin E, Vitamin C supplement as well as topical massage oil with mixing them. Also anti aging cream, collogen cream on face may help side effects of steroid on skin.

I have negative ANA, doctor told me if test become possitive, I will be on medication. I start Hydroxycloroquine, but I get neuropathic pain. I can not take medicine other than steroid like you take so many medicine of chemotherapy. I afraid of steroid side effects on skin. Only steroid and pain killer will be protocol of my lupus.

Prednisolone works!!! After a few weeks my protein leak in the urine and loss of albumin in blood has stopped. All my oedema has gone . Good news 😊👍☺️
