LR3 Faulty EAS height sensor | Fault finding | IID tool live values

So earlier on the day of filming I had a series of new suspension faults that caused the disco to drop to the bump stops (on the highway of all places). So in this video I run through what this particular faulty sensor is doing and how I used my gap diagnostic IID tool to fault find the issue. This issue could present itself in a similar manner on a LR4 and Range Rover Sport.

Thanks Shane. Another interesting vid. I just ordered the same diagnostic tool a few days ago so a few more demo’s like this would be interesting..

Hi, yes I had to replace the offending sensor - kzread.info/dash/bejne/o5Zky9GieqjSkdo.html You may need to recalibrate the new sensor, and yes it fixed the issue

Now that would be convenient if I hadn’t already done that. It’s fairly straight forward on the older euro 3 engines, but the euro 4 engines will also need an ecu patch in addition to the physical deletion to avoid throwing a check engine light

@@Shanes_Shed My car is a Discovery3 year 2009 tdv6, I didn't find this video on your channel, look for you to have an idea I already eliminated an oil leak from the oil cooler watching your channel thanks for that.

It is a good unit, there is not much you can't do on a Land Rover with them. Not the cheapest, but it's much more than just a code scanner. www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool/
