    First video. Immediately subscribed. Appreciate the focus/ infrared view on muscles (I barely found out core is everything). Walk through was great. I woulda done it wrong if u didn’t do the “how not to do it’” set and the walk through was step by step

    love the vid, clear and easy to understand, i do however have one question: is this a upper or lower body exercise? i do a upper-lower split training a week with 2xupper one pull, one push and 2x lower, and i was unsure were i could fit it in to my workout plan

    So glad to have found this -- we trained this with the feet pivoting just like you showed on purpose, but without the "flailing" loss of balance (pivot is an important move for savateurs: unlike muay thai guys who mostly rotate, that foot pivot-and-turn is where we generate our kicking power). I've been flailing around trying to find out what the darned exercise is called. If you ARE moving the feet on purpose, what's the difference in the muscular work?

  • @RyanTreadaway

    @RyanTreadaway

    3 жыл бұрын

    If you're rotating your feet, you'll also be rotating your trunk more. When you're all the way to one side, you'll be facing sideways and the weight will be behind you, which means when you initiate the movement to reverse the direction in this position, you'll shift emphasis to the spinal erectors.

    This is my favourite exercise for muaythai clinching. The other torsonator exercise that I do is the punch press. Several of my trainers say that my cross punch is very heavy. Probably due to the landmine punch press.

    Hello I have a kind of stupid question but I hope you will reply. How do you know when you have done 1 Rep? "Do you have to twist to the other side and back 1 rep" or is it "1 side to the next = 1 rep"

  • @RyanTreadaway

    @RyanTreadaway

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey Atton! That's not a stupid question. It doesn't really matter how you count them as long as you do the same number on each side. I personally count the reps as I cross the midline after I do both sides. Does that make sense?.
