    Thank you for your video for informative! However I still have one question left unanswered, due to that great back of yours I must ask you Ryan. If I want a wide back meaning wide lats all the way down to my lower section of the lats (to get that juicy V-taper we all crave). Does performing either Supinated/pronated or neutral (Parallel) pulling get the job done equally? I am having hard times performing pull ups, but I can easily do chin ups and neutral grip. Which exercise is the best for the Lats (especially the lower section of the lats)?

  • @RyanTreadaway
    @RyanTreadaway5 күн бұрын

    When doing vertical pulls, you're always engaging your lats, regardless of the grip because the jobs of the lats are to pull your arms down and in. You can use the grip that helps you best feel you're hitting your lats. With rows, I like to think of your elbows as the guide. The higher your elbows, the higher on your back you're working. The lower your elbows, the lower on your back you're working.

    Tell you what if you didn't lean you could even have a greater range of motion, and more tension at the bottom with the cable machine. The leaning is for dumbells. It's basic physics. With weights the force is downward, with the cable it is perpendicular.

  • @JeromePowerrr
    @JeromePowerrr18 күн бұрын

    There's literally no reason to lean with a cable machine. The tension is already perpendicular to the stretched position.

    The perfect pullup grip for hypertrophy and most importantly longevity isn't even a "grip"-- its a type-- the ring pullup! The inches and centimeters of movement it makes to accomodate your individual anthropometry works wonders for your joints and connective tissue. It naturally prevents joint and tendon overuse and the slight adjustments made while pulling from a non-fixed anchor point allows your muscles to take the load at all times as opposed to allowing your joints to temporarily take the load during the transitions from the bottom to the top-end range of motion. Its literally perfect!
