I cannot do yard work or work on cars anymore. All do to intense knee pain/arthritis. I feel like my life is falling apart and I cannot help other anymore or do the things that I love. My arthritis pain was in my hips, shoulders, wrists and fingers. I began my Keto journey by following Dr Eric Westman’s protocol in April 2018. Then I found Dr Berry and Dr Nally. The arthritis pain relief is astonishing! However, it will return with vengeance if I eat too many carbs, even if it is “approved “ carbs. I’ve been married 49 years and I now fit into my wedding dress. So, my weight loss is remarkable, too!

Jason Forester I kinda wish there was a central Salvation Army hub we could all send our stuff to. Based on Dr Berry & Thomas DeLauer's YT channels, I'd guess there at least 1M US citizens doing keto. Imagine how many oversized outfits that is. Granted, with Covid there's kind of some safety concerns of congregating that many clothes into a central location.. hmm. Maybe the each Salvation Army location can take the donations in and flag them in their inventory as "keto". Something here for sure.

I wrecked both my knees in my early 20's skiing, and since then, any stairs or ladder work or long walks and my knees would hurt, and if I persisted the activity they would swell up. I did the glucosamine and chondroitin for years in my 40's but found no relief and used Tylenol with codeine and topical voltaren to survive. At 62 I got hit with an autoimmune disease and began Keto to get off the Prednisone, then moved to more of a carnivore lifestyle. I began to return to my activities and was hiking for miles and doing ladder work with no knee discomfort, but what really caught my attention was that I could bend my knees completely, sitting on my hunches (butt touching my heels) without feeling like my knees were going to explode from the pressure! So at 67 I now feel more alive than I had in the previous 40 years. Sardines with skin and bones is my super food!

Can you kneel too? (In a position like as if you were washing a floor by hand) I had a bad fall and twist injury in my early 20s landing on my knees, and since then, I cannot kneel, and I know that feeling of not being able to fully crouch (like Asian style), bending knees more than 90 degrees while supporting body weight. I have no pain except then. Walking, climbing is good. Kneeling feels like someone suddenly snaps like a tendon, and I get a sharp pain. Doctor said supposedly nothing wrong… mostly right knee. 40 years of this. Most exercises require knees, like push ups, yoga, etc. I do eat very low carb, almost carnivore, as I have T1D (LADA). But the hypothyroidism could still be the problem.

After losing 110 lbs on keto I still was taking Tylenol three times a day for knee pain with little or no relief. About 4 months ago after watching your video on Vitamin D and Magnesium, I doubled the recommended dosage and began taking the increased dosage consistently. For years, knee pain would wake me up every morning. About three weeks into the increased dosages of D3 and Magnesium I realized that my knee was no longer waking me up and the pain in both of my knees was gone. It has now been over three months religiously taking my double and triple doses of D3 and Magnesium with no pain. I still have pain in my hip but it is not chronic. I continue to eat keto. Thank you, Dr. Berry, for making the pain go away! Now come up with a solution for leaky heart valves and heart failure.

I agree that my knee pain has greatly decreased since I've been keto and lost almost 50 pounds. While I still need to lose, I greatly agree that walking is the best thing in the world. On days when it is really sore I most certainly walk...use it or lose it. I took care of my mum for 20 years. She didn't want to move or walk. She became bedridden and I was unable to care for her by my self 24/7. Please keep encouraging people to walk. Also, I once heard a Yogi who lead people out of the twin towers on 9/11 who had a bad knee on that day and he used a technique. I have been using it too. It works. He rubbed his knee and told it how much he loved it and thanked it for all the wonderful work that it did for him. 😁❤ it works. Love on your knee while rubbing it. My chiropractor took an xray of my knee and said if I were to go to an orthopedic surgeon he would immediately want to do a knee replacement. My mum and my sister had them. I don't believe they work. Both fall (or fell) more. I used to take massive , like 2000 mg of motrin and at other times massive amounts of naproxen both prescribed by orthopedic doctors for my back. I believe all the digestive damage these massive doses caused is certainly not helping me now. When my mum went into a nursing home I found out how very limited the medication they allow the elderly and what horrible side effects, especially of over the counter medications are. They wouldn't even allow her benadryl. Bottom line try to get off of prescriptions. I went from 11 to 1 and a half and that half will be gone soon. Its blood pressure and the more weight I lose the lower it will be. Also I walk 2.2 miles a day. Half of that is up hill. I carry a walking pole in case my knee forgets what its supposed to do. Then I just rub it and tell it I love it.😁 Great job! ❤ thanks for all you do.

Dr Berry has so much helpful knowledge. I'm 54 and have followed a low ketogenic diet for 17 months. I'm down 105 lbs. I'm under 200 lbs for the first time in 30 years. There's a huge change in the way my body feels. My "trick" that has worked for me, is how I view food. I now see it as a fuel mostly. I read labels and ask myself "is this food worth it to me for the ingredients?" I don't deny myself anything if I feel it's worth it. Truth is, sometimes a bowl of old fashioned ice cream is totally worth it. 😃 One of the plus sides is usually there are low carb ways to create your favorite foods right at home. Without all the added crap from the food manufacturers. Beware though, just because something says "keto" doesn't mean it's actually good for you. Be your own advocate for your health. It's never too late to start. 🙏🏼💪🏻💜

I worked and played too hard and I am paying for it at age 54. Started keto Jan 1, 2020. I will admit I do “fall off the wagon” occasionally and hit the candy, cookies, as ice cream. What I can tell you absolutely without a doubt, after all this junk I feel physically sick and all the broken stuff hurts much more. it’s extremely painful to even attend to normal everyday tasks. 4 knee surgeries, spine surgery, numerous broken bones. Bad choices on my part. The thing with keto is you can build on it. Get on the program for a month and maybe walk to the end of the block, heck, walk back and forth in the hallway.and build on that. I try to walk for 1 hour a day. I don’t count steps. Just walk. I may not make it very far on one day in that hour and great on another day. Some days walking is just too much. I go to the pool put on a buoyancy belt and water walk. It really hurts but don’t stop moving. Down 50 lbs. 30 to go.

Went on keto a year and a half ago bc worried re diabetes, but knee (and all other joint pain) disappeared within weeks. Walked 20 miles pain free just a few days ago! 😊

Doc I’ve got to tell you I was one of those who blamed my knee pain and my Plantar Faciitis on concrete and work and then in the beginning of September I had to have my wisdom teeth removed. I had swelling in my face from them and I didn’t know that was what was going on. I sat in the hotel for two days watching your videos on the Ketogenic Diet and thought maybe this will help me, I couldn’t eat steak or anything like that at the time so I thought I’ll give it a go after all this swelling etc. then I ended up with a dry socket. 2 weeks after I told myself to roll it forward and after hours of research and taking notes I began my transformation. I have currently lost 50 pounds, no more knee pain to the tone of RUNNING 1 MILE and my arch pain is GONE. I want to thank you for the information you provided and I especially appreciate your KETOADE, that recipe has been a game changer and now I’m in the process of helping spread your message. Thank you sir you are improving the world’s health even if it is one person at a time.

Although I also had some knee pain, my problem was always my back. I had lower back pain since I was maybe 14, and it got a lot worse since I was 29. One day something did clack in my back, and the usual pain went over the roof, became unbearable, and stayed like that for one year during which I could barely do anything. With time it got... Not that bad, but that pain was always there, with spikes when doing any sudden movement, or just randomly. That was very limiting, making me always think twice before any physical effort, pushing me to a sedentary life, which over time made my health get worse. I started low carb, just removing from my diet the worse things: sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potato. Just 2 weeks later, no back pain anymore. That was about 6 months ago, no more back pain since then.

Oh yes elimination type diet is key! I’m celiac so have been gluten free for years. Went to the ortho doc beginning of this year with severe right knee pain, weakness, painful locking and stiffness. He gave me pills and wanted to give me a shot, but I declined. I then gave up all grains, nightshades, seeds and nuts. Helped a lot but not totally. By mid year, I decided to follow Sally K Norton’s protocol on oxalates and gave up all (including my beloved iced tea)but winter squash, lettuces and occasional cabbages. Within weeks my knee pain, stiffness, and locking was gone! I am back to hiking, gardening and horseback riding with no pain. Oh and I once I started no oxalates, I dropped 25 pounds over a month and half!

I think those are the best ones I have seen with her. I also bought her works from her website, it was only around 20 bucks, well worth it! I still had joint pain, fatigue and other nagging problems on Keto, and not losing weight. I had no idea but I was loading up with high oxalate foods, and have been for a very long time. Low carb high fat + Intermittent Fasting fixed my knees. I was 42 in 2018 and pushing 230. In 6 months I was 170lb. I "thought" my knee pain went away because I lost all the weight... when Thanksgiving rolled around and I let myself have one day eating the old way... my knee pain came back for several days. I git 2 total knee replacements 5 years ago. I wish I knew about keto/carnivore before hand. I was told it was from having knelt on concrete for years and was given Arthrotec, Tramadol, Cyclobenzaprine and Gabapentin from 2004 through to 2017 during which I started to eat Paleo and then took myself off all meds in 2017. I have been trying to stick to keto/carnivore but frequently have lapses. Even during those lapses, however the pain has not returned. I'm in the process of going 'ketovore' (meat heavy keto) and so far, not finding it overly difficult. It is tough at family gatherings though, because my son and his wife switched to "intuitive eating" after having done keto for a year (and getting great results) but they eat a lot of sugar, grains, starch heavy foods, and fruit. Anyway, just wanted to affirm that keto/carnivore way of eating definitely works for reducing arthritis pain

If you have mild to moderate pain in your knees due to osteoarthritis, walking and other exercise helps mobilize your joint fluid and lubricate the joints. You should walk and do other exercises that move your knee joints. You are likely to find that the stiffness, pain, and fatigue improve with exercise.👍

@Micha EL When son#2 was 15yo, we found he had a gene for Reactive Arthritis (HLA B-27). The doctors told us there was nothing they could do. We had already cut out gluten, as when he was 12yo he was finally diagnosed Celiac. I went on a mission to prove them wrong. It took 5 yrs, and I was starting to teach blood type nutrition. We had found some of the foods along the way that kept that gene turned on. Then finally cut out ALL dairy, and BOOM, turned that gene off within 45 days. He went from barely being about to stoop 3" or rolling over in bed, to zero pain, and he started dropping the weight he could never lose. If your body looks at a food you are eating as a toxin, you will never lose weight. Plus, I already knew I had huge arthritis in my family. ALL of our lives changed when we cut out grains and dairy. His transformation over 2 yrs was amazing. Today he is 28yo, the picture of health. His before and after pics are crazy. I lost 3 dress sizes and, at 66yo, feel like I did in my 40s. Don't let a diagnosis by a doctor ruin your life.😉 Nutrition is the basis of all health. Dr. Berry is 100% right. We all have genes, but what we put in our mouth dictates whether they turn on or off.

Feeling much more positive. Day 3: Getting used to new diet, walking a bit more each day. Read that the Omega3 oils take a while to kick in so decided to come off NSAIDs slowly over 2-3 weeks while fish oils levels build up. Day 7: Feeling good. Less inflammation overall, loving the food. No NSAIDs for last 2 days. Take an Omega 3 hi strength daily supplement and been doing some of Alyssa Kuhn's knee strengthening exercises. She is amazing. Day 13: Less inflammation, feeling stronger. Doing morning 20 minute pilates and trying to do a safe 20 dumbbell workout every day. Really enjoying my food. Starting to turn this around, like I'm in control of it, rather than it being in control of me.

I mix 8oz with fresh ground ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne pepper, & 1tbsp of spirulina & prepared Kirkland raw garlic , nuke it for 60 seconds.. instant chicken soup without the carbs. First thing I consume before breakfast everyday. Lots of folks on YT (including dr Berry) make their own using a hot pot. Just save all bones regardless of animal in the freezer and when the bag is full, it's time to make more. Then put it In small canning jars sizes and refrigerate until served. Pass it on!

FYI HERE IS THE CURE FOR ALL FORMS OF ARTHRITIS The cause of all forms of arthritis is BORON DEFICIENCY. The cure is (12 Mule Team) BORAX. Mix 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of borax dissolved in warm water daily. Drink on empty stomach. Take MAGNESIUM too since it also helps boron get absorbed. Magnesium deficiency is common in the population especially older. Borax is an ionic form of boron which helps it become bioavailable. Google boron and see all the things it cures. Silicon is needed to prevent brittle bones. Rheumatoid arthritis takes about 1 month to cure. Osteoarthritis will take 2-4 months. I have had both.

I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, that’s kind of how I got into the whole Keto thing, just trying to figure out how my body works so I could lose some of the weight. Usually my pain is limited to when I’m walking and I’m generally OK sometimes it swells and becomes really inflamed so I use ice packs but on days I go shopping and have to walk around for 20 or 30 minutes that usually takes me a couple days to recover and the knee on my left leg will swell a bit. If I know I have to walk some distance or drive long distances I try to keep ice packs handy. Ugh. And then taking naproxen sodium I guess I’ll stop on that. :/ I’m in my fourth week of starting very clean version of a keto diet and I’ve cut out all grains and sugar, no bread or pasta or anything like that, just meat, and added well cut Alaskan salmon three or four days a week though I’m not a fish guy and I’m eating more beef, as good as I can afford, Grass fed when I can, free range eggs, The brussels sprouts broccoli asparagus artichokes kale spinach sometimes green beans cabbage. I’m eating two meals a day. I have been eating tomatoes so I guess I’ll get those out now. I’ll look for your videos on collagen, I don’t think I’ve seen that one yet. The only thing I’m concerned about is when this started happening I was walking quite a bit, 1 to 3 miles twice a day. but I had to cut back on the walking but I wasn’t eating correctly then at all, So I guess I’ll try to work my way back up, I just got a treadmill from somebody hoping that would be easier than walking up and down my street which is pretty uneven. The doctors diagnosed it as osteoarthritis. I have noticed it getting better since I’ve been eating a clean keto diet but it’s only been 3 1/2 weeks, I didn’t expect any change yet but it does feel a little better to me lately. Not sure if that’s in my head or not but I’m hoping it can be reversed.

Less than a month after going Keto and I was able to stop the “around the clock” pain meds for my osteoarthritis. I was also able to stop using the cane I’d been using for almost 4 years.

I take Aleve very day for arthritis.....2 morning and 1 at night,....I'm doing pretty well on low carb intermittent fasting,....and would like to go off, but after 3 days off I can't even hold a mug my arthritis is so bad again,.....any advice? I have a fusion in my lower spine that is also very bad without the Aleve.

@@amandawilson8935 Keto helped cut out a lot of inflammatory foods, which majorly helped my joint pain. Then I decided to try Carnivore to cut out the rest of my inflammation. Some plants can cause inflammation, and Carnivore helped me get rid of that. I do have some joint pain (I still weigh a little over 300 lbs), but my inflammation and joint pain have drastically reduced! I take something for pain maybe once a month or once every two months.

Dr. Berry's recommendations definitely work. 60 days on Carnivore with some keto and knee pain completely gone. Fall of the wagon eating tons of carbs and sugar and it comes right back.

Not only getting rid of sugar etc took inflammation away...walking and working out totally changed things. If I go a few days w out my wrkouts bc of some event, I start to feel it and it's downhill from there if I let it. You must move. Even if you start out at 10 min a day. You'll see you can build from there. You will feel better.

Count me as knee and elbow pain free for more than 2 years now, exactly coordinating with my change to, as close as possible, no sugars no grains, low carb high fat, or whatever you want to call it as I could get. Last Christmas I ate like like I used to and after a week of that my knees and elbows were bugging me again. Lesson learned.

I have had knee pain since my ACL surgery in 2018. Keto helped, but carnivore has made it all but disappear. I started carnivore and removed all vegetable oil products at the same time so I'm unsure what the kicker actually was. My guess is throwing out any product made with vegetable oil!! Good luck all. These tips work!

I need both knee's replaced. My doctor told me this 3 years ago but he also wanted me to wait. I wasn't sure if he wanted me to wait because I am severely overweight or because of my age. I am 53. I have adjusted my diet several times and I have several food allergies and sensitivities. One thing that has helped me to manage my pain is water exercise. I started out in water arthritis class. Then I started swimming laps. After a year and a half I started teaching my water arthritis and then regular water aerobics. That has helped tremendously. My knees do hurt at times but not as much as other parts of my body. I still need my knee replacement but hopefully It will be awhile. I need to look into the lectins and collagen. Already allergic to dairy, soy, wheat and gluten. Gotta be careful about eating the same foods too close together. Rotate your foods or you can develop sensitivities to the foods you can eat. Sugar can be a tough one.

2 weeks. That's all the time since I've began a carnivore lifestyle. I have still yet to begin exercising again as I work many hard hours on rooftops. I've still lost 15 lbs in that time. I'm 41. I have arthritis on my right knee, and probably on the other too, both hurt severely only the right a 1000× more. I could barely walk down the stairs in the morning. The pain in my knee has diminished by well over 50%! Now i almost back to hopping down the stairs like I was some youngin. But that's not the only amazing thing! I have cervical radiculapathy that woke me up all hours of the night. The pain is like fire in my bones, my lower arms and hands. Because of that pain, i could barely wake up in the morning, often sleeping straight through my alarms. Then i needed copious amounts of coffee just to wake up. 2 weeks. I sleep the whole night through. Every night. No nerve pain. When my alarm goes off I spring right out of bed. Awake to the world! I have one cup of coffee -1/3 HWC and 2/3 coffee. I don't even drink the whole thing, I have found myself tossing the last bit out as i don't need it. 2 weeks!

HERE IS THE CURE FOR ALL FORMS OF ARTHRITIS The cause of all forms of arthritis is BORON DEFICIENCY.
