My husband was on 40 units of insulin a day for years. After starting keto he started noticing that he needed less and less insulin. In just a matter of a few weeks he was totally off insulin. At my yearly checkup, I learned that my cholesterol and triglycerides were in normal range for the first time in many years without medication. Btw, I don’t have a gall bladder. I’m 74 and my husband is 72. The keto diet is amazing! 🥰❤️🥰❤️

This is proof its possible you said you have high cholesterol and triglycerides for years and magically they go to normal range when doing keto for months. How is that possible if saturated fat is the devil. Berry is right in inflammation that's the killer with high carb high fat diet and all that ranch and crappy condiments with soybean oil and cheap fillers like corn syrup.

@Chan wong For me I stopped having flares as long as I stopped eating processed foods and started drinking bone broth on a regular basis, daily at first, for several months. For me about 6 months, and I could stop worrying about having a flare or an "accident" but if i were to go back to processed grains in my diet and sugar, it would be "disaster pants" for sure! I have tested it, for me, I cannot go back to that as I know after a while I have the same issue again. Whatever is in there, in processed foods, my body will just move it on through to try to mitigate the damage, especially seed oils, vegetable oil and corn oil and peanut oil. I tolerate avocado oil ok and olive oil, butter and lard and coconut oil but not much else. I cook and eat at home primarily. If I go out to eat, I stick to keto everything, a burger, no bun, steak and salad, etc.on the go if I'm driving and cannot stop to eat a real meal, I will get beef sticks or cheese from a gas station, its not ideal but it can work for me. I also have issues with artificial sweetners, they have triggered my ibs as well, so for me its coffee, tea w HWC, or water, that's it, inever really liked soda anyway so I don't miss it.

Great video. Shared to my Facebook page, because I know this is very important info for the many people who suffer with gut issues. I would also add that sugar alcohols, as found in so many highly processed low-carb sweets, can also wreak absolute havoc with one's gut. My Dad had suffered from severe gut issues for quite awhile, and would NOT listen to my layperson's advice to try a very LC diet for it. But he and his wife came across your videos somehow, which convinced them to try it, since you're an MD. My Dad's symptoms are already MUCH better, even though he cheats a bit on the diet. And he lost 40 pounds too.

I have had nights where the veggies have recked my night from BLOATING (and nausea that I don't know is from pressure or pain). Gas-X is my friend on nights with salads and crusiferous veggies. Recently we have started doing a few full carnivore nights a week. (Beef, pork, or chicken with 1.5 slices of thick cut bacon, 1-2 eggs, and a little cheese during the eating window). We eat until we are full, and I swear I sleep better on those nights and the restroom trip in the AM is almost like it is routine.

How long did it take for the acid reflux to go away? I have a hiatal hernia which causes reflux and a feeling of gastritis. All other natural professionals recommend eating more fiber and less meat. Meat requires more acid to break down in the stomach. I’m about a week and a half into carnivore and my symptoms have become a worse. I’m wondering if it’s an adjustment period my digestion is going through to the decreased fiber and no carbs or if this way of is eating is not good for hiatal hernia due to the increased acid.

Hey what were you starting symptoms when you were diagnosed! I had a pain in my stomach and I saw a drop of blood on my toilet bowl , I went to the doctor but he thought it was a bacterial infection it wasn’t ! The blood is not there most of the times but I started to notice mucus in my stool , I didn’t have many symptoms after but a lot of gas then a few weeks later I started to feel fatigued and anxious and feeling super gassy and my hands became all weird it’s really affecting my mental health and my exams I would like to know if your symptoms matched mine or I have another type of disease

From Valleyview, Alberta Canada. I have lost 20 pounds on Keto. Down to 145. Doing 2 meals a day. Works great for me. No gall bladder. No more diverticulitis attacks. No problem. Having food allergies, wheat, night shade foods, dairy. Feel so much better. Eliminated heartburn. Just turned 77. Love Keto.

Since eating a carnivore diet for the past 19 months, my body immediately lets me know if I eat something not good for me.

I’ve been carnivore for 7 months now. I have IBS, but I also have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoarthritis, and fructose intolerant (along with many other severe intolerances). I’ve also been living with severe nausea and refractory migraines for over a decade. I’m sort of a one-stop-shop for rare and severe chronic illnesses. 😂 My gastro issues have made adaptation interesting but I pushed through and now I have nearly normal (meaning average carnivore’s) BMs. I’ve also seen a HUGE reduction in my nausea and frequency/severity of my migraines. Carnivore has been a major game changer. Love you Nisha and Ken!! 💗💗

Hi zebra friend! I have hEDS too and want to flip to carnivore as well. Ive been keto 2.5 yrs and owe it to myself. I have severe positional head pain and suspect a csf leak but who knows what can be done til I try! Glad you've seen significant improvements, I wish more of my friends would try but being underweight and cost of meats are the biggest things I hear. Take care

Thank you both for doing this video! I'm so glad you're both spreading the good word about keto and carnivore! I'm 25 almost and have suffered most of my life with acid reflux and gerd. Changed my diet a few years ago to eat more whole foods and more meats and that has helped tremendously. I still have flare ups from time to time, so I'm trying now to transition to carnivore. I did want to speak on what you said about probiotics. I used to feel quite the same way about their efficacy, but I've noticed that by finding what I would consider a very good quality brand and one that is refrigerated, I have a much better experience with probiotics. My stools have been a regular consistency, and it helps greatly with my nausea and bloating when I have reflux and gerd flare ups. I also don't get sick as often as I used to, and this is with about a year of consistent probiotic use. I hope this can help someone else too! Thank you again for all you both do for us, we need more doctors like you, Dr. Berry!

I recommend true probiotics from real fermented food kimchi, straight carrots or cucumbers (pickles, hah)
