It's an amazing thing you did. Lots of people have CKD 3, it does not mean it will progress! Take care of the basics that we talk about and you will have a very good chance for success! You are my hero Melissa!

Thank you for sharing your Friday night with us. 🙏 I recently started with a cup of decaf. organic green tea when I wake up and fast for another 30 minutes. I've noticed less foamy discharge throughout the day.

You are very welcome! As I get a little older, I have definitely limited my caffeine intake also. I incorporate fasting daily by finishing eating no later than 6pm. This has definitely helped improve my sleep.

I really enjoyed this. Thank you. I am confused about something - I follow a WFPB diet and am healthy and feel great - I generally don't add salt to my food and don't eat processed foods. I love endurance running. I am confused about whether taking electrolytes is a good or bad thing when running - all that added sodium? I do feel great when running with electrolytes in my hydration pack - wondering if I should rather just have water? Many thanks.

2 different concepts here. Using electrolytes with endurance training is to replace what is being lost. That is perfectly okay. This is different from the fact that the typical American consumes as much 5+ grams of sodium per day when the recommendation is less than 2.3 grams per day.

@@SELFPrinciple thank you very much. Are you perhaps able to recommend what would be a healthy amount to take? I see some brands of electrolytes have 1000mg sodium, 200mg potassium, 100mg magnesium. That's safe? And last question, I do my training in the morning fasted - does that increase the need for more electrolytes as I've heard that Said. I value and appreciate your response so much. Happy to have found you. I came across your online presentation at the ICNM in DC.

Thank you again Dr Hashmi for the amazing informations. Just wondering have you hear about use acacia fiber to slow down CKD? I watch another channel that mentioned this fiber can improve gut bacteria and really slow down CKD by years and I come across couple of researches online regarding this content but not sure if is reliable information. Just want to know your opinions about it. Thanks 🙏

Yes, but I am not aware that it is somehow superior to other fibers. It is a soluble fiber and both soluble and insoluble fibers are very important in improving gut bacteria, which then reduces toxin production and inflammation in the gut. Bottom line, fiber is awesome!
