It is scary, how little we still know about kidney and human body in general. Doctors mostly are watching only K, P, Mg, but there are 118 elements in periodic table and millions of combinations from them.

Hey doc wondering if you could make a grapic showing the effectiveness of some of these drugs? prils, arbs, statins, etc. how much they typically lower blood levels... How much longer people typically live, etc....

High magnesium is not good and neither is a magnesium deficiency. I would take another test to double check the result, because sometimes labs get mixed up. Once I got a result about my white cells that was a bad result so my Family Dr. suggested to have the same test in another lab and I did, the result was different and "normal" but in the meanwhile I was concerned. Then again, what if the first one was the correct one? My Dr said look at your symptoms as well and then he explained other biomarkers. Magnesium and other electrolytes in blood are only a small part of their total amount in the human body (1%). The blood test for electrolytes including Magnesium is just to have a reference but most important would be your symptoms and checking what are you eating. Not easy but we have to pay attention to our boy and identify ourselves what is going on.
