    And now I'm reading up on PRAL diet, in regards to what might help wife with lithium induced CKD. Some signs of PKD, but I think CTIN is also a factor. Seems like a lot of things point towards effects on blood pH, or at least many commonalities. We try to do mostly plant based, some chicken. Whole grains, nuts and seeds seem to also have high phosphorus, which may or may not be a factor with many folks. It seems like rather than going into small sector focus, it's appropriate to look at the biggest picture. And processed foods seldom fit into any healthy diet program. Thanks for what you "bring to the table"

    If you focus on more on fruits and vegatbles how do you know what is a complete protien with a full amino acid profile.

    Good morning Dr. Hashmi, I've been whole food plant based for the last 4 years and have had a lot of great health results. A1C has gone from 12 to 5.9, lost 70 lbs and nephrologist says that my CKD went from 3b to 3a, but my URIC acid has remained high. I keep hearing about fructose being a big contributor and am wondering about different veggies or fruits that may be contributing to that elevation? Do you have any thoughts on how to lower that uric acid value?

    What do you recommend for a liquid. I know water... But whats something more safe to use to flavor it... Dad never wants to drink plain water. Ends up drinking cranberry juice instead...
