In hindsight, this movie turned out to be a blessing: Even if Zack Snyder hadn't left the project due to the tragic death of his daughter, he would have been forced to make changes to his own vision after the reception that BvS got. Now though, after this turkey flopped, Zack Snyder gets to make the movie he always wanted to make.

The funny thing about the Russian Family bit is that in the Snyder Cut Steppenwolf sets up his base of operations at Chernobyl. Both for Snyder to be meta, “Fine, you complain about collateral damage? Fuck it, the entire final fight will take place at the most uninhabitable place on Earth.” and for Steppenwolf to seem smarter. Then Joss comes in, changes Chernobyl to “Bizarnoff,” and throws in a family for the League to save when the entire point of setting it at a Nuclear Reactor was so civilians would be out of the immediate danger zone.

for me its in order of the worst: 1) Wonder Woman 1984 (and its leaps ahead of 2nd place which is god awful any way, get worried for rogue squadrons) 2)Justice League 3) rise of skywalker (the only star wars movies i have ever removed from my library) 4) Batman and Robin(1990s) justice league was not joss fault he was only brought in to fdulfil a edit the studio desided to make. his film making only goes to reinforce what we got was to many execs and producers who makde the rewrites and bought joss in to complete it. Dont forget ww 1984 exists and needs to be acredited apropriatly or well get a third ww with paddy writing it. keep her in the directors chair but limmit her access to story plse.

@@kylemccrory2031 Lots of reasons. But most of them boil down to the poor script and the fact that I don't like Zack Snyder's portrayal of the DC universe (especially not Superman). I believe that Zack Snyder is a talented director, but his sensibilities as a filmmaker just aren't the right fit for the material. Snyder's movies tend to be nihilistic and gritty, which is the exact opposite of Superman. I like the ideas and concepts in Batman v. Superman, but I found the majority of them to be poorly executed. Kind of like the prequels, wherein George Lucas has excellent ideas, but needed someone to reign him in a bit and better convey his intended messages.

I discovered your channel with your BvS video, it’s been quite a journey that brought us here. See you on the other side.

I remember watching clips of Cyborg and thinking omg the cgi looks so damn bad, then it turns out wheadon removed almost all his scenes...

You should be thankful that this version exists, because there would not be a 4 hour original version, and it’s also a learning lesson for future generations who will want to do another JL movie.

Having recently rewatched the Theatrical Cut of BvS and Josstice League for the first time since 2017, it absolutely blows my mind just how much they butchered his vision for the DCEU. Even if you don't like what he had in mind, you can't deny that his Director's Cuts are always better then the mandated studio edits they force into cinemas for a shorter run time. Along with Army Of The Dead, 2021 looks like it could be Snyder's year.

I also caught a bit of it a few days ago... it was even worse than I remembered. Like you said, there's no way he "tried" to make something good. The only way to make something this bad is to put actual effort into doing it that way.

I love your total distain for the Josstice League.

I heard that “Kal-El no!” line is still in Snyder’s cut but personally the line delivery never bothered me. It’s not perfect, but it’s not horrible in my opinion.

I never really cared if there was a Snyder Cut back when everyone was going #release the Snyder cut. But when it was announced that it was happening I was happy. Not for me I was happy for Zack Snyder. I was happy for the fans. I was happy that they were happy.

Closeups is the essence of Whedon shooting style. He is a TV director in the first place. The Avengers movie was filled with closeups. When we talk about the art of building a frame, Whedon is no match to Snyder. Not even close.

After watching ZSJL, and reading his story arc for JL2 and JL3, it's clear that "somebody" leaked Snyder's script to "some" studio.

It’s almost a prerequisite to watch them back2back

i drank and watched this a few days ago for the last time and it was a great send off to this piece is shit 👍🏻 #SnyderCutReleased

I just watched the Snydercut... Some things were really cool, but surprisingly there are things in Whedon´s version that are some of my favorite moments in the entire MCU (the whole scene where Batman talks to Alfred about Superman, and says: "He was way more human than me. He was able to find love, he had a family..."), among a few others. Also, there were some moments in the Snydercut that made me laugh out loud (even if they were meant to be taken very seriously). Right now, I wouldn´t be able to decide which version is worst, or better.

When I first saw the film I thought it was fine but after the second viewing and the news that came out surround the film I immediately hated the film. The film looks horrendous and I can’t believe the green screen was an abomination. I honestly can’t wait to see the true version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League!
