INDIAN CLUBS | Straight Arm Circles back to basics
The straight-arm circle is the fastest of all the Indian Club circles, pivoting at the shoulder with the club extending the length of your arm. This circle benefits the shoulder girdle by delivering a full range of motion in multiple directions using the frontal and sagittal planes. The basic movements are synchronous outward, inward and parallel, where the clubs cross at the feet and overhead. More complexity is added by swinging in an asynchronous style, with the clubs crossing either side of the body. It is essential to allow the downward movement to engage gravitational pull and to engage the inertia in the upward movement.

Wow. Thanks Paul. (I was never any good at geometry 😂) but I can get the gist from watching closely. So healthy for the shoulders! I had frozen shoulder syndrome once and used Indian Clubs to heal and my PT guy said it was the fastest he’d ever seen anyone come out of the frozen shoulder!

I like your description - geometry - I have never considered that, but it is geometry for sure. I'm glad to hear that Indian Clubs helped to heal your frozen shoulder. Clubs are very effective when used correctly.
