The alphabet is so much like Spanish it's amazing!!!

This is the best Dutch pronunciation video I have found on KZread, I recentlly took a Dutch beginner class & I was never taught with these techniques. Please re-start putting videos again for Dutch beginner lessons

This is very helpful!! I’m an English speaker, learned French in highschool, and it reminds me a lot of the French alphabet as well!

Your dutch is really good! Only you made a few mistakes, it's Ik hoop dat je video's blijft maken. And i'm not really sure what you mean with "ik ben zo blij ik kon tape in mijn nederlandse cultuur." But you're actually the first one (who isn't dutch) with so good dutch i saw so far :)

I’ve just moved to The Netherlands and trying to self teach my self and find Dutch very hard 😂 especially being dyslexic i just find it hard but you’ve definitely helped with the writing down how it sounds to pronounce it. So helpful and you made me laugh and smile through out the whole video 😂 and the spitting made me laugh so much but actually it makes my gggggg so much better now. Thank you so much!

The "v" is often pronounced like "f", and "w" is pronounced "wuh", but with your mouth shaped to say "v". It sounds weird, but it works.

in Dutch the lower lip touches the front teeth when pronouncing the W. The V is pronounced devoiced, like an F

Not just English language but it very similar with Indonesian alphabet language

I studied some Dutch in Belgium and in Belgium I remember the Belgian Dutch W is completely different from in the Netherlands and is closer to an English W.

I think hebrew and arabic have a similar guttural sounds as Dutch. The names Achmed and Barooq are examples.

I'm an American and speak German as a 2nd language. Is the Dutch v pronounced like v in English or f in German? And is Z in a work pronounce English z or German ts?

Some of it is from french too Á bientôt

I can just about tell the difference, but the difference is different each time I hear her say it. At first I thought it was something to do with the length of the "ay" sound in "vay". Then when she tried to explain the difference at around 4:02, it seems the difference is "V" is "fvay" or "fay" while "W" is a normal, hard "vay".

In my school in Aruba they teach dutch, and im spanish and i speqk english and een beetje neederlands, i can say the dutch alphabet in 2 seconds

still cant distinguish the difference between V and W

V = fricative (vay) W = bite softly over your onder lip, but make no fricative sound (_ay)

Back when I was a boy (50 years ago) I remember learning that W was 'dubble V'. Modernization?

I only learned up to I yay
