What sound do you think is the most difficult to pronounce in Dutch?

Hello there! I have just started taking lessons on my own and I have not yet get used to the pronunciation yet. I am from Brazil, my brother lived for almost 10 years in the Netherlands (Eindhoven and Utrecht) and showed me a book that I got interested in. I am now challenging myself to speak Dutch as much as I can but for fun. I didn't seem quite difficult at first except the spelling. Would you please come up with a video with this topic at any time? Take care!

@@cesarsouza3446 Hi! Dutch is quite phonetically consistent, you just have to know the rules first 😉 So you need to educate yourself on open and closed vowels and pronunciation. I'll be making a lot more pronunciation videos on my channel, so they're definitely coming! 😊

I find the UI sound difficult to pronounce. I just found your channel today, so I'll take a look to see if you've done a video on how to pronounce that sound! BTW, thank you for this video (hartelijk dank). Very useful.

@@CatsDutchClasses I thought that ui was the most difficult sound . BUt after watching the video about ui, it has become easier. And now w and v which I thought just as englihs v and f sounds respectively are the hardest to me 🥲

omg, this is so helpful. I used to use a microphone in google translate to practice ui and Google never recognized it. Now that I watched your video and tried to say it to google again, it started to recognize words like uit, fruit, thuis, etc. Thanks!!!

super helpful, my brain was bundling all three of these sounds together and this video helped untangle them

The sounds of those consonants were somewhat confusing to me, but you explained it simple, now I got them clearly.

Hi!. Just like it sounds almost the same to pronounce dutch v's as f's, is the same if I pronounce w as v?

I'd say the Dutch w is in between the English w and v

you made me realise that those sounds are not as straightforward as thought haha

Yeah Dutch is a bit weird phonetically, but once you get it, you'll get it. I promise!

damn it :( , can we just say V can be pronounce as English F ?
