    Technically diphthong refers to phonology, wherein two vowel sounds blend together. When referring to orthography, in particular when it's two vowel letters, that's a digraph. Digraphs aren't always diphthongs, as in 'oe' for example, pronounced /u/. There's only one sound, and two letters combined make that one sound, making it a digraph but not a diphthong. Something like 'ou' and 'au' would be diphthongs, where you can hear multiple vowel sounds blending together. Great video!! Really happy to see resources out there for Flemish Dutch ❤️

    Would it matter if I pronounced G differently for Dutch and Belgians? I started learning Dutch in Duolingo and got used to Dutch G but I actually wanted to learn it for when I move to Belgium. Would I still be understood well by Belgians with a Dutch accent?

    Yes, don't worry about the pronunciation of the G whether it is more Dutch or Flemish. In my opinion, there should not be a problem.

    I do not understand. Is Flemish and Dutch alfabet the same? Also I found different explanation for alfabet for ex.A ah,B Bay,C say,D day,E aye,F ef... Is this true or false?

    Same language, different accent... That's why it sounds slightly different, but the alphabet is exactly the same...
