I would like to thank you for your wonderful videos. I was unemployed and desparately looking for a job for last 2 years. Watched a lot of your and a couple of other career coaches' videos. Implemented the Suggestions. Prepared for the interview and negotiated for the salary at the right time. Got 50% hike and a few other benefits. Yes everything about negotiation is spot on. Thanks a lot! God bless u!

Thank you so much Sonal. It is as you say, I was always afraid to ask. Thinking one day if they see what I can do, they’ll reward me. Instead I got tripled the workload and the same pay. Recently, I’ve gotten to the point of negotiating my salary and told myself I won’t make the same mistake. Your videos are hidden gems, it reminded me to kick fear in the face. I had someone told me once, “if you don’t ask, you don’t get.” It resonated with me so much and then you mentioned that, “what’s the worst that can happen, they could say no.” But at least I’ve asked. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me get over my fear and helping me feel confident again. I’ve shared with my friends and hopefully they get the same results.

Hi Sonal, THANK YOU! I came back from a medical leave recently and almost got tricked by bad HR in accepting a salary lower than my previous job (because of leaving the workforce). It's YOU who taught me about "MAN", and how to focus on my strength over my $$$. I ended up getting a good raise from my last position! (15% bump, not sure if that's a lot though... )

This video is very informative and helpful. So my situation is I just got a job 2 months ago as an accountant and I really shorted my self with the salary I took. Before coming in there was a Temp guy who the corporate hired from a Temp agency and they are paying them $70 an hour which is about 145k a year in corporate expense. The corp searched for a permanent accountant and there goes me and I took only a quarter percent of that $70 an hour because I didn’t know that the company was paying that much. And not to mention everybody in the office staff have unlimited vacation except for me. Now I’m thinking of waiting until my 6month probational period to atleast show that I can be an good asset for the company and ask to renegotiate my salary to atleast even half of what they are willing to pay for a temp, which is about 40% increase of my per hour rate right now. Am I making a bad move if I do so?

Hi thanks for the helpful contents. I have one question- I got an offer letter which I have accepted and started on boarding process through their portal where have completed most of the steps. Now got another offer from a company. Can one deny the existing offer at this stage to accept the new/better one? Or still is there an option to negotiate in the company (where already offer has been accepted) informing about the new offer? Looking for your suggestion.

Hey Sonal! Hope you're doing well. I had my first appraisal in February this year and I didn't fight with HR although I wasn't happy with the increase. Now, almost 6 months most of my batchmates have switched for double my/their current package. My current CTC is 6L. So, I have 2 questions: 1. Should I ask for more right now or wait for next cycle? 2. If yes, then how should I ask for double? Because I totally deserve that acc to my market research. I don't want to switch right now Thanks in advance ❤️

I wish I have come across your salary negotiation vedio earlier.I got hired , and 2yrs later I got promoted but in both cases , I did not negotiate my salary. Now, I'm regretting why I did not negotiate my salary at those faces of my career. I just found out my colleagues with the same line of work who were hired 2 months ago or year ago are earning more than me who had been with the company more than 7yrs with more experience. lt is painful.

Sonal My question to you is if someone joins an organization after 1 month of working he gets a better offer. What will he/she do? If someone asks for salary x amount HR says ok fine we will give it to you but when the salary is credited after 1 month he found that it's less than x amount some deduction happens in PF or like that but he anticipated x will be in-hand salary. Then what will the candidate do ?

Hi Sonal. Can i ask you how, if at all still possible, to negotiate higher salary, after an offer which i have yet to sign? I did quote my salary expectation in the interview and the company gave it, but after much research i found out that i could have gone higher as my amount was not really the median salary after all. I guess i am also thinking that if i ask to reopen salary negotiation, the employer would be turned-off and say we gave your asking salary and just rescind the offer? I would appreciate your advice on this.. thanks in advance.
