Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I am showing how to make “Purin“ or Japanese style Custard Pudding or in some places called as Flan. The cooking process takes no more than 30 min. plus cooling time of 2-5 hours.
In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.
Ingredients for Putin (3 Portions):
Egg 2
Sugar 2-3 Tbsp
Milk 200 ml (g)
Heavy cream 100 ml (g)
(this recipe can be made without cream, in which case use 300 ml of milk.)
Caramel sauce:
- Sugar 3 Tbsp
- Water 2 Tbsp

When I visited Lisbon, Portugal they had these stainless steel molds for pasteis de nata that was given to me after I booked and learned how to make them awesome Portuguese pastry. The shape is similar enough to the one in your video so I'm going to try making it right now. Thanks Taiji for being awesome!

This is quite a bit harder than Taiji-san makes it look! The high fat milk + cream makes it more likely to set, and the conical metal forms he uses are pretty great for cooking custard. It's also super easy to overcook the egg when pouring in the hot milk/cream. So, nice work Taiji-san, but for everyone else don't worry if it doesn't work this easily for you!

as I said in the video, it did take me several tries to get it right. so its normal that you don't get it in the first try. we have to learn through try and error!

Seems like a lot of sugar but the nice thing about cooking your own food is that you can adjust or regulate the sugar to your personal preference. Definitely gonna try this as an occasional treat.

I'm from a small town in the state of Kansas in the US. This is one of my favorite desserts. It is so simple with a short ingredient list but can be tricky with the technique. I do add one other ingredient and that's vanilla extract. I really enjoy your channel. I don't comment every time but do try to watch every video. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. 😊🌻

Looks good, I enjoy custards and puddings, thank you for showing us how to make it. At lunch today, my husband and I went to a place that sells sushi, bento meals, hibachi meals, and such. I ordered Yaki-soba with steak, as I was eating, I told my husband I was going to ask you this.. How do you slurp your noodles without them hitting you in the face and making your glasses dirty? I wear glasses and could not seem to keep them clean if I slurped the noodles, haha! We both thought you may be amused by the question. 😊
