I have 5 Tilley hats (T3, LTM6, LTM3 and 2 Mash-ups). All of them are 7 5/8, and all fit different!

Wow. Finally. An explanation of their sizing. I previously purchased a Tilley hat, measuring my head as the web-site explains it, and I always felt it was too tight. Hopefully my next Tilley (ordered after watching your video) will fit.

It's standard hat sizing. Head measurement in inches divided by pi equals hat size.

I got a TH5. My head size with other hats brands is 7 1/8, and as Tilley recommends I bought a size more (7 1/4), and it fits perfectly in my head.

What did you measure? I'm at 22.625 inches and debating whether to go 7 1/4 or go up like the say but I feel 7 3/8 would be to big. I don't really want to wear the chin strap to keep it on

Love my fendora but I haven't worn it much yet

Be aware, my Tilley T3 fits as recommended but my LTM6 is quite snug. Still wearable but 2 fingers will not fit between my head and the band of the hat. They are both size 7 1/4. So a fair amount of variation from the manufacturer.

Dan Newell My LTM6 is green. It’s a much nicer green, (I think), in person than what their website shows. It’s still wearable as I said but fits more like most hats. I’m gonna love it floating and kayaking rivers.

Update: my wife just received a LTM3 in sz. 7 1/2. A great hat. Sort of a cross between the LTM6 and the T3. Same fabric and style as the LTM6 with side snaps like the T3. The 7 1/2 LTM3 fits like my T3 7 1/4. If I were to buy my LTM6 again I would go up 1/4 size. Maybe this helps. Best of luck, David.

Thank You Dave as when I measure my head according to the chart one size is too snug and the other size is too loose ... I am going to email Tilly to hear what they have to say . Thank You for your advice about going up 1/4 size for my LTM6 ... I will also tell them about how there is a fair amount of variation in Hat Sizes when they manufacturer them .

Same here my tLm6 fits snug. I did everything the it says. The hats is wearable but yeah maybe it could be a bit more relaxed.

I just bought another Tilley and you’re just gonna have to try them on. I recently tried on a number of them. 3 I ordered, several more in two different stores. I’ve tried 7 1/2 that fit the same as 7 1/4. 7 1/4 that fit the same as 7 1/2, and 7 3/8 that fit the same as either of the above. In other words, their sizes are inconsistent. That said, I LOVE my Tilley.

Really outlandish.

LTM6 is now made in China...confirmed when calling them today. If the web page doesn't indicate "Made in Canada" then it's made in China. According to Tilley.....they are moving all hat production to China. Buy them now....soon they will be all China made.
