How To Get Analogue Dry Through With Eventide H9 and TheGigRig G3

www.thegigrig.com/g3
In this vid Im going to show you how easy it is to add an analog dry through signal path around the Eventide H9 with TheGigRig G3. Understanding the basics of adding a parallel signal path can open a whole world of awesome possibilities. Adding a basic signal path around an all digital effect can get rid of any latency that might be causing an issue with things such as wet/dry or multi amp setups.

I don't have either and still found this interesting.

Nice nice. I know it’s not the focus of the video, but the production value is looking top notch 👌

Awesome. Some of those sounds I like being all wet, most dry mix though. Modern switchers make anything doable on a preset by preset basis!

Super demo Dan. Any chance you could video an A/B of digital vs analogue dry through + digital delay ?

Just got a Kingsley peasant and loving it! Even more excited about the G3 I just ordered. Do you run the Peasant outside of your G3?

@Dan, if let’s say you were using the g3 mixers to add analog dry to a stereo in/out delay in loop 5 with another stereo in/out pedal in loop 6 , could you on a different patch reorder it in another patch to have to stereo delay run in mono before drives for the whole EVH style echo plex before amp sound …..? 🤔

Hi! Can I have multiple parallel points in the chain? For using more than one H9s, for instance.

Hi, Dan and the TPS family. I just wanted to let you all know that running a wet/dry rig with Eventide products is possible. And without latency issues too…

Nice! I am trying to figure out how to do parallel and loop reordering properly with stereo pedals?

This is awesome! I keep my H9 in "stomp box mode". Will this still work if H9 is only active in stomp mode?

I know this is about the H9, but I saw that MOOD and was like “I wonder what he’s doing with that?“😂

Dan, I’ve just picked up an H90 and I’m getting digital latency on my wet amp (‘TPS wet/dry’) due to the lack of analog through. This is barely noticeable except for delays that need to be perfectly on the beat, where it’s an issue. You can route for wet/dry inside the H90, but then when you turn off the H90 (disengage the current program), you lose the dry amp completely. So I’d prefer not to route my dry line through the H90 really. Any thoughts on whether I can use G3 to solve this? I also have a Humdinger (and a Goodwood Audio Output) and a Wetter Box, if needed! Thanks a million in advance.

One thing also I have noticed on the H9 is the outputs are phase reversed….Separate thing, but can I only use the isolated output on a Humdinger??…..I plug my guitar into an AxeFXIII,then send 1 output to the front of my amp….I have a nasty ground loop in this connection…can I just use the isolated out on the Humdinger to break it…….I also come back into the AxeFXIII via a Reactive Load box,but only the AxeFXIII to connection is causing problems…

Great stuff, Dan! I’ll have to try that with my ModFactor. Now, is it possible to have multiple parallel paths for analogue dry-through and wet/dry, or do I need to use a Humdinger in a later loop?
