Hey man, I'm on the same mission and have all but settled on the GT-1000 Core as the device to bring bucket loads of capability to my Marshall combo. Planing to put the Core on a small board with my old Crybaby and SD-1, the old pedals into one of the Core's loops and the Core in the amps loop via 4CM. Really attracted to the Core for its fully programmable 24 block signal chain and its ability to switch the amps channels within a patch.

@@Techo1329 my bass player told me he had a GT1000 now that I think of it that he didn't use. Maybe I'll borrow his and try it out. I run my SD-1, chorus, volume, and Morley wah up front and my 2nd volume, delay, and reverb in the loop. Looking for more effects and less equipment mainly without noticeable switching. I ran the TC G-Major 2 rack (midi)and it didn't seem to change without delays on certain settings. I want an easy setup and tear down. I went from my Marshall to the H&K GM40 and it does everything except I can't quite get my Marshall tone I want, otherwise it is awesome for easy.
